I've noticed a while ago while playing gtc a few «strange» things I dont think happened in gt3. When you race with the honda Dualnote, for example, you only get Hondas as opponents - usually another dualtone, s2000, civics etc. The same when you race the skyline M-spec, all your opponents are skylines - all different models though
I think its great to have races against 5 other cars like yours , like when you race the Suzuky concept but it seems to me that maybe this has to do with demands from the car makers... :)

Also, some cars performe a lot better in gtc - that is, when driven by AI. I remember that in gt3 the audi TT almost always ended up last in its races but its performance is way much better in gtc-in a recent race I run ii finished third jest one second behind an s2000! :D
Of course, Audi has all these new cars in gtc ... :D :D :D

There are differences between the same cars GT3 and GTC. See also my GTF-thread : http://forum.granturismo.com/showthread.php?threadid=70277

I did not find an improvement which is manufacturer-related. What I do tend to believe is that some manufacturers become favourised. This could explain why FIAT-Alfa Romeo retired its presence from GTC : their cars perform quite poorly compared to others (although some - i.e. Alfa Spider - are very enjoyable to drive).

Besides the different effect of horsepower, I also noticed that FF cars seem to get more traction. A good example for this is the Beetle Cup (with mk's program also available in GTC), which is IMO a crap car in GT3, but becomes very enjoyable in GTC. You feel its tires (medium slicks, as in GT3) "bite" the asphalt after the 180° turns @ Autumn Ring.
As the TT is also FF (this bug remains in GTC! - I don't believe in the VW-AWD-story to explain this), the improved traction could explain its better performance.
