Note: this feature is intended for a future title.

I got an idea that will change the way people play GT online, it's called the Car Online Pass.

It's a special pass that helps rare cars stay rare by limiting the amount of people own that car online, limited to the number produced in real life. For fictional cars, PD can set any number.

Basically when someone buys a car while logged in to GT, after buying the car , they have the option of obtaining a Car Online Pass for free if it is available.

What if there are no passes left? Well people can then go to the Marketplace, where people can buy and sell Car Online Passes to other players. If the player does not own the car, they can buy the car in game and then the pass.

While this might sound crazy, this system helps add realism, variety, and fun. Because what's real about 2 Escudo Pikes Peak online?
Also this DOES NOT affect offline play. So it's a win win.

I see it's a cool feature, and yes, having for example 6 Chaparral 2J in a race is a bit unreal.
But the counter reason for multiple rare cars in one race is because you can do a race with 6 Chaparrals with real conditions without spending lot of money and time.Of course it's not real to have 6 2J in one race, but you can in GT.
If you don't like that in a race, make your own race with your own friends, and agree for one person to drive the Chaparral 2J or other rare car.

No need for a this feature by my opinion.

I like it, with one modification to account for @citroengt1's objections. Allow it to be set by lobby. Casual lobbies can have their grid of 2Js, more realistic leagues can keep it limited.

Only problem I could see is people charging stupid money for a car online pass to a common model like an AE86 or a Chevy Camaro. Under this system, anyone who doesn't get the game at or soon after release could be at a disadvantage as far as being able to use their favorite cars in those realistic lobbies, as people will just say "sure, give me online pass" even if they never end up using it.
