Car recommendation (70s Japan Cup)

Okay, I slaughtered the 80s cup in my MR2 G-Limited SC. I buried the competition in the 90s cup in my Supra 2.5 Twin Turbo GT. However, I can't find a GOOD 70s Japanese car. I've tried several, but none of them make the cut. Can someone recommend the a decent car?

I used and old Nissan Z. I kept it stock and it worked for me.

Try the Nissan 240ZG which you win in the Nissan Fairlady/Z races. This is the toughest the AI puts against you, and it’s certainly what I used to win (with ease modded).

EDIT: Got beaten to it with my first choice! I'm going to retry this later with the '78 Mirage 1400GLX and the '79 Civic I've bought since first doing this championship. Both have been tuned, and the Civic in particular is really nice.

That's it if you want an easy win and don't care about A-Spec points. If you want it tougher and more point rewarding just choose a less powerful car, preferably bought in the used car section, don't change the oil (I used an old Skyline) and fully tune the brakes, transmission and suspension. You'll still lose in the straights, but your cornering speeds should make you win those races.
