Car running out of gas 100 feet from pits!

Im in a 24 hour of LeMans race that has taken a while to complete and today when i started it up i went into the pits changed tires and filled up with fuel. When i left the pits my fuel meter went from full to zero in about 6 or 7 seconds. anyone else having this problem? i have gone backwards down the straight to re enter the pits 4 times and every time the same thing.
 
It's a bug caused by you applying the update before you resumed your save race. You should have cancelled the update and done it after the race. I don't believe there is any solution for this problem.
 
that sucks!!! i was 19 hours and 12 minutes into a 24 hour race that has taken me months to do. so no fix for this?
 
Not that I know of, sorry. In future never update the game in the middle of a race, it's not like you can take advantage of the update before you finish the race anyway and there is always a chance a bug can creep in when you're trying to do the same race with effectively two different versions of the game.

Nearly 20 hours out of 24. You nearly got it. I'm so sorry buddy.

I've been there, I had to do Tsukuba 3 times with the MX5, and this was before the save feature for Endurance races.

Stick with Simon's advice, never update while you have a race going on.
 
Don't worry. It applies to all of your opponents too. So long as you're already ahead, they can never catch you because they're ALSO limited to 50mph and have no fuel, so you may as well tootle round the track for the next 5 hours. You would anyway, only this way you get to see more of the track.

You might also win the Human Stopwatch trophy in the process!

The name "Snail Race" comes to mind. Awfully tedious to watch, but might just work! 👍

Yes. Roll back your GT5 gamedata to v2.08.
