hello gt3 people. my cars suck. i am a huge gt fan, and i been changing the settings around for most of my cars, the ones i use. and it became horriable. i turning sucks soo much, i set it like my gt2 setting, but its soo bad, stock handles better then the setting i have on. can some one please help me. how do you guys set your cars? FF FR MR 4WD.

Golden rule with set-ups - keep it simple and when testing, only do one thing at a time.

I generally just stiffen the springs, lower the ride height, and then very slightly adjust the dampers from there to compensate for characteristics that come through from there.

Generally I'll try to set the rear springs slightly softer than the fronts for RWD, 4WD, slightly harder at the rear for FF, and about the same for MR.

If you search through the set-up threads, there was a great (GT2 based, but the principles are the same) link to a set-up guide, specialising in trouble-shooting.

I haven't done anything with the diffs yet - I always write down or save default set-ups so I've got something to go back to if I irretreivably stuff the settings up.
 
i'm trying to get my buddy to join GTP.......he is the king of tuning.......he thoroughly understands all the mechanics and dynamics of cars and tunes them to perfection (keep in mind that people have their own style of driving) Auto Setup for the gear ratios....forget about it....he'll spend hours finely adjusting each gear..........he tunes all my cars even though we are equally skilled drivers....he's NOT a stats boy but if anybody thinks they understand cars more than him, they're in for a rude awakening!........he's also totally rebuilt his own engine in his own car.....not that other people in GTPlanet haven't done that too but it's still a nice achievement :D ....he is constantly teaching car concepts to our other friend who is a FORD apprentice..........my gt3 buddy wasn't meant to be a mechanic .....he was meant to be an F1 engineer!!.......not that he'll ever get the chance ....he wants to be a mechanical engineer though.....who knows!!
