I have just over 6 million in the bank, at level 25 with only the Formula 1 Championship and the Dreamcar Championship left in the Extreme series. I was looking at the Citroen Race Car (5.6 million). Is this a good buy for where I'm at? Is the Formula GT a better investment? Is there something else I should hold out for?

Thanks this is my first real go at a GT game since A-spec on the ps2 (lllllloving it btw) and I'm a bit rusty when it comes to good strategy.

you will need formula gt to do the f1 championship buy that

Yea but I need a car in the range of the Citroen to beat the Dream Car series, only thing I have right now that can compete is a ZR1 Race Modified and I can barely hold 3rd fully tuned.

Save til you get to 10mil. You get a trophy then and you'll have 10 mil to spend.

You don't have the Mazda Furai? I've been faster with that car so far and its a prize car.

The Zonda race car and Lexus ISF are probably better balanced the the ZR1 and more affordable then the Citroen.

Do you have the ability to save and reset your games?

The Furai concept? That will place in Dream Car? Are you sure? Haven't looked at the Zonda but I'll give it a look, thanks for the suggestions.

As far as resetting, do you mean backing up your save file?

You are able to use the FGT in the Dream Car Championship, so just buy that plus you will need it for the Formula GT series as well.

I did not know that, I just hate to pay 4 mil for a standard car is all. I'm going after the Toyota 7 Race car in B-spec. That would surely win in Dream Car no?

You should keep saving up your money and buy all of us the X2010 because by then, you should be a trillionaire.

To be honest though, you should probably buy the Formula GT.

The Formula GT is in my opinion the best choice as you are going to need it later on and aside from the X1, it will beat everything else in the game with ease.

You would think the Toyota 7 race car would be fantastic given it's power/weight ratio, but I didn't find it drove that well. I very much prefer the Toyota Minolta.

Just get the FGT and kill two races with one car.

You win the Citroen Race Car in b spec and the Zonda and the Minolta ...... just buy the Formula GT

Honda Z Act, one of the nicest souding car with race exhaust in the game!!
...and after fully tuning it, you would still be millionaire ;)

The AI citroen actually performed very poorly in the race. It was the McF1 and the Zonda that were at the top of the pack.

1. If you did complete the "Like the Wind" Indy event and have currently the Minolta Toyota Race Car disregart what I'm about to tell you if you don't have it.

If you have a race modified ZR1 tune the aerodynamics to max downforce and up the custom transmission so your top speed is a tad more than it is.

Do the "Like the Wind" Indy even but do not , REPEAT, DO NOT FOLLOW THE DRIVER ASSIST LINE since you'll be in a ben hur type situation instead when the rest of the pack slows down to make the turns keep on the gas and do the turns on the inner edge of the track and keep it floored and your aerodynamics will assist you so you don't have to hit the brakes.

(continue reading here if you disregarded the last statement)

Go to your Minolta Toyota and increase the downforce of the aerodynamics to max.

Buy Racing Soft Tires

Make sure you buy anything that will max the HP of the car

If you are fairly confident with your skills try the Dream Car Championship series otherwise practice on the individual races to get a feel for the racecar.

Trophies are great and all but I'm that concerned with that unless it unlocks a nice car.

Well, just don't waste your money on a Citroen GT. As everyone's said it's a prize car. Probably should just save your money for a Formula GT.

Personally, I skipped the Formula GT races (this was pre-1.05) and continued on doing the Endurance series. Eventually I bought an FGT then just did that.

I had 9m bought a FGT and mclaren F1 GTR Race Car '97, the FGT won the dream car championship with ease.

if you want a race car, get the 787b. you will need the formula GT as well, but I promise you will enjoy the 787b in the dream car series, it is an insane machine.

The Minolta from Like the Wind won me Dream Car Championship. Got gold in most of the races, but on a couple of tracks (wet nurburgring, 1040bhp and no aids) it was very difficult to stay in front of the Ford GT LM racers. I was on the limit and had no spins, still they chased me down.

I'd go for the Formula GT , it means you can enter 2 race series , be warned that using the FGT in Dream Car Championship will ruin the race series , it's far too eay to win ,especially if you're lucky enough to escape from Nurburgring without seeing any rain.

Mannn the FGT is going to whoop as in every tournament, Dream car championship, everything man , ut stupid if u buy the Citroën instead of the FGT
