Alright well my truck was not stolen, but just about everything inside was. A few days ago I went out to my truck and there was glass all over the driveway. I thought "OH SH@#". Well I looked inside the boke window and saw that the truck had been ran sacked.

The headunit had been ripped from the dash, thus cause the dash to be destroyed. The subs and amp were taken, resulting in broken back seats and broken panels. They tried to get the speakers but couldn't figure it out. They took my blue interior neons and my billet pedels. They took my work out clothes, I had gone to the gym that night. I had a set of drop shocks that I was suppsed to sell to someone in there. I had a few Chrismas presents for my parents and my CD's.

They stole about 2000 bucks worth of stuff I figure and I just got the dealers quote for the damage and its almost 3000 for all the stuff they destroyed. The insurence is covering the repairs minus the 250 dollar deductable and they are giving me 1200 for the stuff that was stolen.

Someone is going to have a nice Chrismas is all I'm going to say.

Ya as soon as it comes back from getting fixed I'm getting an alarm on it.

But I would like to find the people who did, they'd wish they thought twice about screwing with a Marines truck.

Very bad news.👎 Atleast he/she didn't do what alot of theives are doing now. They steal cars then burn them. Kinda pointless.

Wow I wouldn't know what to do with myself if I knew someone stole my truck to burn it. I mean if they stole it I would at least want them to enjoy rolling in it and picking up chicks. :D

Wow, if you find that guy....oooo is he in deep $#1t. Those Marines scare me. I know one that races BMX on my team and he's ripped..... :scared: :scared: :scared:

Car theives are low life scums....Thats too bad about your truck.
But In my City it is a huge problem, like I imagine it is in most cities. Most of the time it consists of audio equiptment subs/amps as it was in your case too. Then it goes up on the black market and they make good quick cash. Sad part is, is that most of these theaives get away because unfortunatly car theft is not a priority (more serious crimes being commited) and it may be days before police have time to investigate.

It would be nice if you could just get thier fingerprints and just nail them, but its not that easy, :grumpy: sould be.

Would be great if it was actually that easy.
Makes me sick when I hear about 12 -13 year olds stealing cars for joy rides. Just more proof that this world is going to s#it. And it all starts with parenting. Advice of the day kiddies. Wear your rubbers.

well back on topic now.....car theft is bad 👎 .........mmmmm-kay

I asked the cop about fingerprints and he just chuckled and said I watched way to much CSI. Oh well, I found the alarm I'm getting. Its an Audiovox with a key fob that tells you when something happens, it also has remote start. Plus its 220 bucks which is less then I though it would be.

I'm also going to rebuild the system but this time its getting bolted to the truck so they need some serious tools to get the stuff up.

Damn right. You should get a "theft resistent" car, much like the European BMW- that is, have flames shootout the sides of it for about a 1/4 of a second as soon as somehting is broken. Or one of those proximity sensors that beeps louder when anything over a certain size comes near it. That sucks. Wut kind of truck was it?

I was pretty impressed with Subaru's stock security system. When you set it to its highest security setting, an alarm will go off if the car gets knocked or even the door opens EVEN with the factory key. Even then, the car is immobilized.

However I ran into troubles after installing my turbo timer. When the car was on, the engine itself would cause the alarm to go off. Luckily, I found a way around that.

At least you still have the thing... When they stole my first Type-R, they stripped the thing down to the bare frame, and left it in a ditch. It had the dash and some of the carpeting, and that was pretty much it.

Unlucky, but if you left stuff visible (presents etc) inside the truck then it was perhaps asking for it. Its common practice in UK not to leave stuff on display, cause little ****s eyes will light up & break your window even for a pack of cigs  (I don't smoke by the way, disgusting habit but good example ;))

Apart from the cheap thrill they get out of burning out cars, it also makes incriminating the theives harder since they can't be as easily traced to the vehicle.

Low-life scum - hangings too good for them!

Police, unfortunatly, will probably never find them, and even if they did all they would get is a slap on the wrists!

You loose all your stuff, have all the hastle of being without your motor for a few days whilst its fixed and who pays for it all? - you do when your insurance premiums go through the roof, its a real bummer, i know - same happened to me a couple of years ago :(

Its a Blazer Xtreme thats has some custom stuff done to it.

Well my parents were home when I got home that night so I wasn't going to take their presents in. I leave stuff in my truck all the time and if its in the back seat its really hard to see since the back windows are limo tinted.

Someone just wanted the system and saw the other stuff in there to. They looked at it as a bonus.

My brother is searching around school seeing if anyone has stuff for sale. I figure its someone that he knows from school.

:( I've never had anything physical stolen although once someone ilegally managed to take £400 out of my bank account by putting it on mobile phones.

My cousin also had his newly rennovated trial bike stolen a couple of weeks after finishing it. One of my other cousins saw someone hanging around a few days before it was nicked. Amazingly the police found it albeit with a load of parts missing (& no doubt waiting to be set on fire when the thieves returned)
