I'm dealing with a real idiot right now. He says that he has a Rx7 Lm race car and a Lancia Delta S4 rally car. He says they're tradeable because "they have a crap load of miles so the value depreciates" Please explain here that it doesn't matter if the cars have 1,000,000 miles on them. They're still untradeable

Value doesn't go down... Just the starting price matters more times then not.

👍

Whoever made that statement must be dumb!

Edit: To the OP, watch your language buddy. You might want to take a peak at the AUP.

The new car value determines whether a car is tradeable or not. A car with a new car value of $1M or above is not tradeable, irrespective of its current used car value.

Lol you're just too arrogant to admit you're wrong!

The actual value of any used car is about 5% higher than what it is sold at (since when I last checked a 967,500 cr. car couldn't be traded).

You sure that isn't because the new car value of that car is actually $1M? Or are you saying that if you have a car with a few miles on it, which is sold for $998,500, the actual car value is around $1,048,425, even though the car only has a new car value of $1M?

Edit: Which car was it that you saw for 967,500?

I don't think the value of precious cars does go down as the total miles increase... Unlike a slight decline in its horsepower and coming to have a slower response.

Every car from the UCD has a "real" base price. Depending on the number of miles it is being sold at, a certain amount is being subtracted from this base price.

You can derive the base price from what it costs to refurbish the chassis. This generally costs 50% of the base price, rounded down to the next 500 credits.

So, all cars with a refurbish-price of 500,000 cr. are untradeable.

Remark: The refurbish-price is also capped at 500,000 cr., so you can't derive the base price for cars that cost more than 1,000,000 cr.

Well this guy tried telling me that as he puts more miles on a car after he bought it that the value would plummet and become tradeable. Then after I even explained this to him this arrogant idiot writes back "NOPE You're wrong! No hop off my d*ck f*g"
