Ok, PSJ has a good tutorial, and it does work for some pretty realistic carbon-fiber effects. However, PSJ's is not the only way to achieve a carbon-fiber look on the front of your car. I'm just curious, what other methods do people have for making a carbon-fiber hood? I've found at least three different methods for achieving the desired affect, but what do you people all do?
(this attachment was made by creating a shape (rectangle), using the "manhole" fill, distorting it to fit the contours of the hood, desaturating the hood, and setting the layer of carbon-fiber to 50% opacity)
