Not sure if this is a glitch or if the teams really do just hate me, but all the teams except Lotus (the team i am racing for now) and Force India (the team i raced for in my 1st season) dislike me. They have disliked me since the start of the season, and all there comments are the same "this teams does not like your comments to the press".

Anyway, has anyone else encountered this problem? I'm not 100% sure if it is a glitch or if they really do just hate me for some reason, it just seems really odd.

Btw i'm lvl 23 and currently 3rd in the drivers championship

ALl the teams hate you but your doing rediculosly well?

It's ont a glitch its called Kimi Raikkonen.

sorry..... go kimi!

Rofl... thanks guys.. great help *sigh*

Why does everyone hate me :grumpy: I'm seriously starting to think its a glitch...

I'm not sure or anything, but I think it might have to do with what you say to the press. If you say you're keeping your options open maybe the other teams will take more of a liking. But if you stand by your team, I think they dislike that since you're not keeping the door open for them.

Just a guess, though. I was wondering myself why they'd dislike me if I have however many wins and podiums and stuff.

It does have to do with your comments to the press. The tema wants you to say things like your doing your best...the car performed well...ect. Be very cliche.

Yeah i know it does, and i said at the end of my first season that i was looking for a new team. And then Force India dropped me from the team for my comments. Yet now no matter what i say the comments from the teams does not change.

Well I did my best in the interviews. Answered like a true pro "One day at a time. Teams working hard. Blah blah blah". Was only level 16 going into Monza, got offers from McClaren, Toro Rosso and others. Took the $8.5 million from Torro Rosso. Maybe coulda' done better if I won the title, but was afraid offers might get withdrawn. And as I always say when I read about contract negotiations "Really, isn't $8.5 enough?"

Well just as an update more than anything i suppose, after the second last race, Mclaren sent me an offer, perhaps because my championship rival was Jenson Button and i thoroughly whooped him in the drivers championship, i don't know. No other teams sent me offers and now starting the first race of my 3rd season Mclaren are disgruntled with me and my performance, BEFORE i have even touched the car.

Fairly confident this is some kind of glitch, i think i will report something on the codies forums.

Hi,

Thanks very much for this comment. It make me to think about my ideals.

Tks again and pls keep posting.

It also has to do with how you race. I was halfway through my 1st season with Force India when I decided to go just one more lap on my tires and lost control. I slammed into a Renno I was getting ready to lap (as they had already pitted and allowed me time to catch up). I got taken out of the race due to damage on my car and after that my team and Mercedes GP (whom I was hoping to sign with) all the sudden disliked me. Even though I was putting Force India in contension for the WCC and I was 4th in the WDC at the time.

Edit - To clarify I was halfway through my 1st season with Force India which was my 3rd season in game. I was playing on the hardest settings but I don't think that matters as far as contracts go. Up until then I had performed moderately well and was well liked by most teams.

I didn't want to start a new thread.

I just wanted to vent a bit about the contracts.

I am driving for Lotus and I am in my second season with three or four races to go. Any ways I had many contract offers but not from Ferrari or Mclaren. I was clicking through the other teams and rejecting the contracts after seeing how much i was being offered. Well I was trying to reject Toro Rosso offer, when I by accident clicked accept.

WHY OH WHY DID IT NOT AS ME TO CONFIRM.

Now I am stuck racing for Toro Rosso next season :( putting off my chances to get the trophy for signing with the better team. AAAAAHHH

Okay I am done ranting. I will have to try and win every single race with Toro Rosso to get a contract with one of the top teams.

nothing happened to me i got offered to race with red bull at the start of my second season going great

Thats nothing really... I was on my 3rd seasson on expert (all aids off, all sims on) in 2nd place in the championship with virgin when someone rang the door bell I oppened and it was a guy from renault asking me if I could replace Kubica, unfortunatly I had other plans at the time and pointed them out to Heidfeld... :dopey:

, mate.

... I kid. But you probably still have a few seasons to go surely?

haha yea i do have quite a bit to play. i usually just tend to play this game on race weekend as i get excited to watch the races.

guess ill do more short weekends to try and fly through the season with toro rosso

In career, your off-track action seems to matter more than on track action regarding whether teams like you or not.
