I'm curious what role cars have played in your adventures with the opposite sex.

i.e. how has driving a good/bad car affected your luck with the ladies in a positive or negative way?

We all know that aside from perfomance, many people view cars as a statement of who you are. But it also depends where you live and the culture.

Forget cars, motorcycles are where it's at. I get more looks from girls on a $300 bike than I would in a $100k car :)

I've given a lot of thoughts on this subject, when I was in my 20's. :sly: I came to this conclusion...... it doesn't matter that much.

OK, you do have some advantage with the nicer cars, but I noticed that some ladies likes guys with average cars. You are more approachable with average cars.

P.O.S. junks are bad though. They'll think you're weird, or only weird chicks will be attracted to you.

Now, this was with average people in the U.S. If you are rich, of course your Porsche will help your game. As 1twojay noted, it depends.

Bonus Wisdom: Don't ever brag about your car. I did this once(cut me some slack. It was long ago). This girl was crazy about me(so I thought), I bragged and well....... you can try it, and see what happens. :D

Well, when my adventures begin, the Biscayne has Two bench seats, both of which are at least 5 feet across... :sly: ;)

My 2000 Daewoo Nubira gets looks from all the ladies.
They have time to look, while running away? :D I don't know if you guys watch MAD TV on Fox? I sometimes do, and there's a funny skit with the Asian guy trying to mac, using his Daewoo. It's great.

For anyone thats interested,

We still have Daewoo in Australia, now they call it GM-Daewoo and Holden distributing Daewoos but they recently announced they will 'wind down' Daewoo in Australia.

Daewoos are like roaches. :D Americans thought they got rid of those cars, but now GM just sells them as Chevys and Suzukis. :yuck:

I attracted a lot of attention (from both males and females) driving the Lotus Elise around here on US streets. A compliment from women while filling up at a gas station weren't uncommon. I've ran into women who were generally curious about the car, some who wanted to take a photo of it... and one particular woman who was knowledgable about the car.
She had read a lot about the car but never actually saw one in person... untill she saw mine at a gas station.

I never tried to be a snob. Whenever I caught someone taking a peek I'd wave and say hello.

Yeah, Elise is an amazing looking car. 👍 I bet it drives like an street legal go-kart.

Saw one today; male driver with female passenger. I wave at all Elises I see, even though I don't own one. It's the only car I do that for. I love them.

Does anyone really want to go out with women who judge men by the car they drive?

Which probably means it's not a much of a hit with the ladies while she's a driver or passenger; unless she's masochistic or raised on a diet of Racer magazines and SpeedChannel.

If I had an Elise, I wouldn't have time for women. :sly:

Chicks dig mini truckers...plain and simple :D.

I don't know for some reason I can drive up and down any downtown area around me and have chicks all over my truck. But then again, its always clean, with the system up, and then there is me behind the wheel. Chicks just like nice cars, it doesn't matter what kind it is.

I guess you could say cars helped me. I met my fiance at a local auto-x a few years back. And yes, she was racing that day as well, not just spectating. Luckilly, I did beat her. But, she has since gone on to kick my butt a few times. We auto-x her Cooper S quite a lot, and are very close in times. Its fun.

Hiya! :D :O  Meow! (='.'=)

mmm this is a very interesting topic! :O 👍 You guys will learn from us girls perspective of what we think about attracting the opposite sex with your car. Don't take my voice as IF it applies to all women, but just take it like a general thing.

Turn offs:
1. Any cheap import that have a so called "Fart Can" is a BIG NO NO!!!
2. When you get the chance to talk to the girl, DONT BRAG ABOUT YOUR CAR!!! WE WANT TO KNOW YOU! NOT YOUR CAR! If you do decide to brag about your car, we will take it as you just bought the car for materialism purposes and to only get "quick sex" not a true love relationship.
3. When you are driving in a place where we are around, please don't try to show off by revving your engine, look at us, and then drive away like you are the S***.
4. We don't really judge mens based on their cars. The nice fancy cars will be like a first impression in order to get us to come to you. When we come to you, our main goal is to get to know you. If we don't like you, we will go down to the next lesser fancy car.

I can't think of anything else. :odd: I look at the idea of using a fancy car to attract womens an okay thing, but it gets unpleasent when you just use it to win our hearts. In reality it doesn't, material things such as cars is ONLY good for first impressions, after that....its all about YOU! :O

....HAHAHAHA! good one.

But yeah, I agree with you. all those turn-offs are so asshole-esque. I hate those kinds of people. I'd want my girl to lurv me for me, obviously...and not for my car.

Lucky... I used to get cheered up in the morning (I'm not a morning person) staring at one parked at my school... Until it was covered with a grey plastic protector sheet... I still stared at the siluette (sp?) everyday...

I see this a lot down at the beach. These idiots will rev, peel out, honk, and do whatever else it takes to get some attention.

"Good job, you're douchebag. Way to go, man!" 👍 👍

Haha, Hang around the beach or popular areas here and count the intentional 'blow offs' from turbocharged engines and reving from others.

Well come to Arizona.

If you're white and in a Vans T-shirt have dirty hair and rarely shower you can get a supermodel, it doesn't matter if she see's you beating your current fiance......

I hate it here.. :indiff:
