Could it be when your car has driven many of miles it actually gets slower????In professional leaque all stars I'm racing with a 1323 HP GT-ONE that has 1900 miles driven. But when on the straits, the other GT-ONE and R390 just pull away! And how about the oil,how can you beat them with dirt oil and less HP???

I have a Polyphony001 that's driven over 13,000km and I swear the engine almost stalls around slow corners!

Yes - it's exactly like that. Find BadBatsuMaru's thread on "Everything you wanted to know about hp, mileage and oil changes".

And "skill".

Whatever you said. Cause I can't think of anything to help...

This post just increased my total post count to plus 1 post...

It can help if u play sim mode go to GTAUTO the place where u can buy wheels, when u in there go change oil!!! After changing oil ur car will be back to normal speed like before!!!

well done you. So helpful. There you go, I just increased my post count by one too, therefore contributing absolutely NOTHING to the world at large... big up me

Now that was just spam. Famine took all the fun away from this thread so quickly, I love it.

Knock it off, kids. Spamming is bad enough but knowing better, talking about spamming, and doing it anyway is much worse.

When you are as funny as the Monty Python troupe, come back and talk to us. Until then:

okay, chill - I am usually (99% of the time for two and a half years) a happy, helpful chappie who will answer newbie questions over and over again, without jumping down throats, and without taking up too much room - Famine made a valid point about searching, and Darin just posted for the sake of posting so I showed him up for it... are you thinking he has made nearly 3,000 entirely valid posts in eight months? Excuse me for allowing sarcasm to slip into a thread where someone was outwardly wasting oxygen. I'll consider my wrist slapped, end of.

You're losing on the straights because they are faster in the corners, I suggest a healthy dose of learning to race properly, add in a dash of learn to tune properly and we have ourselves a confident, capable racer.

If it was a wrist slapping, I would have given you a Very Stern Official Warning. This was more of a "keep it down, mates" since it seemed like I was sensing a pattern in this thread which would lead to it getting recycled in a hurry. No offense logged or needed.

I have heard that washing your car and changing the oil after you use it is the best thing to do before you change cars or quit. 👍

change oil, yes - washing makes no difference apart from make it shiny (even that doesn't look much different)

Doesn't washing it decrease air resistance because of that lovely smooth waxy feel? Ahhhhh *stairs into the night sky*

If you look at the book that comes with the game you will find that in section 3 simulation mode on page 20 look at gt auto and it will tell you "after miles and miles of racing, you'll want to purchase a car wash to reduce the amount of drag and improve aerodynamics."

yeah, but the booklet with each GT game also tells you about clutch control techniques.... am I missing a button off my DualShock or something...? ;)

...and I bet I get the flak for this one :guilty:

EDIT : sorry - that was a LOT bigger than it was supposed to be, should be better now

It also helps if you use the car in Arcade mode. Also, you can't change the oil in the middle of a series, although apparently the AI cars can, but I don't know how whoever found that out was able to know that.

Okay, Neon_Duke told you to stop spamming and you still continue...

The more you run without changing the oil, the power goes down.

TriplePlay
you dirrrty post whore........

:lol::lol:

TriplePlay has 24 posts, therefore I am making a valid point by pointing it out to a newbie. I would have thought your point was obvious due to the whole point of this thread. Get off your high horse if you don't mind :banghead:
