Wow, well i've never heard of that. It looks like an interesting (buit quick, only 96 pages) read. I wonder if they did one for GT2?

Not quite, since I'm an hour and 50 minutes behind Gil. Man, I was just in a Barnes & Noble for about 2 hours yesterday, too, waiting for a They Might Be Giants concert/meet the artists session. I would've had plenty of time to read it for free...

no i am the last

i have it!!! it looks kinda old (outdated) but it still a recomendation of mine

It's kinda old? It was just published in October 2003.

Care to tell us on what page NoQuarter was mentioned?

AO

the third edition was probably published in october
his is most likely 1st or 2nd edition

This is the first I've heard of it too. I never thought of looking for a Gran Turismo book though.

yeah b/c i got it way b4 that

From the Terms Of Service, to which you agreed when you signed up here:

* No slang words that promote laziness, ie; "r", "u", "plz", etc.

* Half decent grammar is expected. Use of capital letters
starting sentences is looked upon favorably. Spelling
half decently is also encouraged.
From the Signature Guidelines:
How long can my signature be?
Your signature may be no longer than 6 lines.
This includes blank lines, since they waste screen space as well. Please follow these rules.

Now I'm the last to hear about this book. I often thought about making a book about the cars in GT3, but now I don't have to. Besides, I'm not good at making books any way.

i dont think the mods like him much

They've got every right to leap on his case, 'cause we're all sick of seeing the same poorly-typed garbage.

Anyway! A GT book? Now that's something I'm going to head to the bookstore and keep an eye out for, if nothing else, 'cause it'll make an interesting collector's item.

It's a forum for intelligent people who have gotten over the excitement of seeing their own words published on the internet for the whole world to see.

Therefore, we have rules in place that try to keep discussions focused, intelligent, and civil. If you don't like it, there are hundreds of places you can go and share in the heady joy of posting whatever illiterate nonsense pops into your brain.

Why is it that when I see your name as the last poster in a forum I just KNOW you've been disciplining someone? Must be our er, relationship... :trouble:

You know, that was actually quite funny. Gotten over the excitement indeed... :D

Speaking of which, fiend's "Location" is pushing it a bit, isn't it?

Anyway, I'm the last to have heard of this, because I haven't read the line that tells me what it is I'm supposed to have heard of. So anyone who post after me has STILL heard it before me... :D

whats wrong with my location? are you being offended by a censored word?

Allow me to quote the rules you are violating:
From the Terms Of Service:
* No hard core profanity. Hard core meaning use of the "F"
word and words commonly associated with body parts.
Violating this rule will be considered grounds for suspension
and/or permanent removal from the board.

* No slang words that promote laziness, ie; "r", "u", "plz", etc.

* Half decent grammar is expected. Use of capital letters
starting sentences is looked upon favorably. Spelling
half decently is also encouraged.
In addition to violating the rules to which you agreed, your location is also not particularly friendly or welcoming to others. Based upon that, you shouldn't expect to be welcomed or treated in a friendly manner by other users, given the attitude you choose to display.

njoy ur stay at www.clubsi.com ! ull be among friends there 4eva.

You registered in October of 2003. All of the current mod staff have been on board since midsummer at the latest, and enforcing clear rules which haven't changed in years. So how exactly did the idiotic mods "turn this place into garbage", since neither staff nor rules have changed since you joined? Never mind the fact that that's exactly what we're here to prevent - this place turning into garbage.

So who were you when you got banned the first time?

BOT - went down to my local bookstore yesterday and they couldnt find on their system, asked me what the ISBN was, now that I know I shall be going back there and seeing if just cant lay my hands on it

on pages 57, 69, 77 and 95

Jordan also gets a bit on page 12

JMR is in there twice and a good mate of mine, TOSK, also gets a mention

I have been working some shifts at Chapters. I have looked through the whole book. There is about 40 cars reviewed. About a 2 page spread for each. Randomly selected cars, including race cars and cars you can only win once etc.

Its fairly well written, but I dont agree with what they say about some cars. I forget exactly which ones but they say things about certain cars that just isn't true.

They have quotes from people who've said things on forums just like this one.

Like "The Fiat Coupe has good handling for a FWD" -Superguy870 from super-racers.net

Fairly thorough book, like they have 0-400m and alot of other info about each car mentioned.

The only thing I have to say about the book is, where was this book 2 years ago!?

Ah, but the clue is in the thread title! So you HAVE heard of it!
You just might not know what 'it' exactly is, especially if you've never read a 'book' before ;)
So that make me the last one to know - who knows, that is,as opposed to others who don't know there is something to know or those that know there is somethig to know but don't yet know what it is (this last bit was dictated to me by Donald Rumplestiltskin winner of the "Plain Gibebrish" award for talking round in circles <hee hee>)
