Hi all, I'm only asking this now as I'm away from home for a bit and unable to answer it myself, do the cars exhaust notes (especially ones with aftermarket exhausts) give off the impression it's in an indoor arena? Pointless question I know, but intrigued nonetheless

Cheers

I noticed with the karts that they resonate differently when going through the tunnel. I'd imagine the same for the cars. When just on the track and not in the tunnel I don't recall any difference from outside courses, though. I wasn't really listening for it, so I might have just not noticed.

Yeh I noticed that too, I was just thinking that in real life if you had any car, especially big loud tuned ones in any form of warehouse, which is essentially what kart space is, it'd sound epic! I was hoping we'd get a similar sound resonance in the game.

I'd expect them all to sound just like when you drive through a tunnel on other tracks (such as SSR5) throughout the entire kart space.

Looking forward to doing abit of drifting there later on tonight :)

When you go through the tunnel before the last turn, you can hear your car much better. Sounds nice with a V8.

The exhaust notes may be a bit different, but the tyre squealing sounds the same. It didn't really bother me though, I had a lot of fun today at Kart Space.

sounds louder in kart space and the tunnel you can really hear the exhaust........ I have my sound setting to small theater and that makes sounds WAY better in the game as well. something else I came across in a comment on one of the updates is about exhaust and how some cars sound like CRAP. the "sports" exhaust really have the best sounds in most cars. here's 4 examples......and I'm sure there is a load more. but take a 2010 zr1 vette fully modded. Austin Martin DB9 full mod, Alfa Romeo 8c competition and a Mercedes SLS AMG full mod. try the race exhaust then try the sports exhaust. you will be blown away at how much nicer and correct the sports exhaust sound

here's a little tease for you Stevti

Yeh dude totally with you on the sports exhaust, far more realistic sounds than the full race spec one, ive tried it on quite a few but the R35 GTR through my sound system does it for me, sounds effin amazing!! Huge thanks for the pics too dude!! Can't wait to get snappin some awesome pics round there, many a ps3 wallpaper to be made me thinks :)

This reminds me.

Want to know why it was originally karts-only? Other than issues with the exhaust in a closed space, that is.

I found the problem during a night of online kart racing. The pits are barely wide enough for karts, let alone cars.

NASCAR's on Kart Space was an audible blast. It sounded just as I'd imagine a NASCAR racing indoors would sound.
