I've noticed it in every GT, and i had a feeling it would be the same in this one. My supra for example. It rev's like a street bike, same goes for alot of other cars.

It makes it difficult to control the car sometimes because of how rapidly it revs. I had to vent about this cause i just find it quite unrealistic, hopefully it could be fixed in the future.

I have the opposite opinion. Until GT5 all cars revved too slowly due to the improper/bugged way engine inertia was calculated. In GT2 and GT3 it was terrible (unrealistic) especially with small displacement/low power engines.

My Mclaren MP4-12C

Tune, has about Mid 600~ Horses, Rev's like crazy, it's off to fast, and with it's quick handling, it's perfect.

I take it 'round the ring, but have to watch my throttle because it rev's really quick and cause spins.

But all in all, try to go up an extra gear to lower the revs at cost of seconds.

Do you use manual? It helps to combat fast revving engines if you can shift up when the wheels start to slide out.

Depends upon your controller. If you're using pedals you have much more control over it but if you're using a regular controller and do not use one of the analog sticks to accelerate your throttle is basically in a full on or completely off state.

Do you stand on the gas every time you drive your supra like most people do with the x button. Go outside and try that real quick. Huge reason why I bought a wheel. And I'm never looking back.

That won't do your lap times any good though. Throttle control is the key, at least if you've got a wheel and pedals.

It doesn't give me problems to the point i can't control the car. Btw i use a controller and the analog sticks. It's just something i've noticed with certain cars. Knowing well they don't rev like that in real life. But really it's a minor issue. I was just wondering if anyone else thought the same thing.

It depends. I will slow you down but then so will hitting a wall/gravel trap which would take longer to recover from.

I use the control (waiting on a DFP) and have no sensitivity problems even using X which I can feather fine.

The DS2 and DS3 controllers are pressure sensitve, You could do 40% throttle in GT4 with the DS2 using the X button.

Over half of you think Rdp616 is talking about excessive wheelspin (which has nothing to do with an engine "revving too fast"). The rest of us assumed he meant cars rev too quickly, which is a matter of flywheel inertia.

Which is it?

Seconded. Further, is the car stock?

are you noticing this just in toyotas? it might be unintended accelleration

THIS! WINS!

I think its everything OK.

If you play with a DS3 just set the acceleration/brakes on the right analog stick and then you can modulate the ammount of accel/braking with precision.

Play like this since GT2 :)

Since you didn't answer my question, I'm going to now assume that you slapped the biggest turbo on it possible. If that's the case, then dude, you slapped the biggest turbo on it. Of course it's going to rev fast and be a handful.
