PLAYING HOURS AND HOURS GT PROLOGUE Japanese AND PAL I'VE GOT THE SENSATION THAT SOME ROAD CARS ALREADY INCLUDED IN GT3 (MIRA, SKYLINE, LOTUS ELISE, MARCH/MICRA....) SEEM TO HAVE QUITE THE SAME DRIVING FEATURES AS IN GT3 BUT HERE WE ARE IN GT4 (WITH ITS NEW CONTROL ETC).
SOME OF THE NEW CARS MOVE FASTER RIGHT AND LEFT (TAKE SUBARU LEGACY '03 FOR EXAMPLE) THAN A SPORT ROAD CAR LIKE THE LOTUS ELISE (PREVIOSLY SEEN IN GT SERIES).

IT SEEMS TO ME THAT PREVIOUSLY SEEN CARS HAVE JUST BEEN MODIFIED TO "APPEAR" SIMILAR TO THE NEW (GREAT) CONTROL SYSTEM OF GT4 (IN THIS CASE PROLOGUE).

FINALLY, I'VE READ IN ONE OF SOMEONE'S POSTS THAT FROM THE NEW PLAYABLE DEMOS LIKE THE BMW'S GRAPHICS AND CONTROLS HAVE BEEN ENHANCED. I BELIEVE IN WHAT YOU SAID!

GT 4 HAS SOMETHING MORE -- THAT'S ALL --

DROP THE DAMN CAPS!!!!! Ofcourse gt4 has more. Gt4 will be the first big step for gt since gt1 with the new physics engine which is reported to be hardcore
 
Stop using caps please.It makes it hard to read.You should download some of the new nurb vids.Now they are amazing:D
 
Caps.... OFF! I don't understand what your saying... The cars that are in gt3 drive the same in gt3? Confusion confusion...

I made a prediction that some of the machinery in GT3 and GT Concept were likely prospects for GT4. And in so, I'm right. I can't give any details, but this thread will likely be closed if the negative comments keep up.
 
ok...I drop the caps. but, hey chill out please...I haven't used swear words:(
the only thing i was trying to say is that some of the cars control seem to have been simply transposed from the gt3 episode.
anyway thank you all for replying:).
 
I don't think any of the cars feel like they're from GT3, except probaly the JGTC cars.:)

you mean the woodone supra and company...if yes I disagree because they are the essence of the new control system...I referred most of all to some road cars like lotus elise, march, jazz...whose driving ( but not so much) look like the gt3 driving.
 
Hmm, I don't know about the supra's or NSX's, because I havn't driven them much, but I drive the JGTC Skyline alot, and I reckon it sorta feels like GT3. I'm not really sure, I only get to play every second weekend so, yeah.:)
 
But GT4:P wasn't the new physics engine was it? GT4's is completely new, rebuilt fom the ground up and promises to be offer much more realistic control of the cars.
 
The noticeable differences in GT4P are the bigger amounts of understeer coming out of corners under power and braking distances increased. These are the things that make the physics engine feel so much different and they weren't as present in GT3 as they are in GT4P. The realism has been increased a lot more.

But if your saying that some cars handle basically the same way in GT3 as they do in GT4P, maybe thats because they driving characteristics of some cars were so realistic and fine tuned to near perfection, that there was no need to change them a lot to be in GT4P.

EDIT: GT4P did use 'a' new physics engine.
 
gt4p ran off the physics engine of the 03 e3 build of gt4. The editor of the opm uk gt4 preview said gt4 was a new game compared to gt4p.

Unless you have played GT4P with a DFP and sim tires it is pointless even having this discussion.

The Skyline R34 for example is completly different in GT4P.
 
I agree with you!!
I bought gt4p in december and at that time magazines and websites (the same Yamauchi as well) were saying that what we were seeing in the prologue was the same to be seen in the final gt4.
gtp has a lot of CLEAR, substantial differences from the previous gts but still something missing:
1. some rally cars engine sound
2. brakes blockage
3. tyre sound on the asphalt (the same ever)
4. a hard steering control even at low speed of some road cars.

but now many months have passed and the real thing is that (AND I TRUST PEOPLE THAT HAVE PLAYED SOME NEW GT4 DEMO) that probably gt4prologue was just only a middle way game between gt concept tokyo-geneva and the king gt4 :)

...or the JGTC cars weren´t so aggressive in GT3 or GTC, too now it´s a bit harder to drive them!!!


......and most important of all N-O car in any GT game from the past had this "BITING BACK" when u countersteered too much--->in GT3 there was an aid or help assistant which helped u to "control" the drift now u have to control by URSELF!!!!!!

Did I say gt that ford gt isn't a perfect racing machine?
Did I say that the jgtc cars aren't aggressive?
If I ever said that something looked kinda similar to gt3 was ONLY for some tiny number of rad cars; but I never said that gt3 and gt4 are the same :) :indiff:

...ok u didn´t say this u didn´t say that ok ok!!!!...don´t get on my nerves!
...i just wanted to clear up this wrong Thought cuz GT4P has a completely different physic engine and it´s not in anyway "THE SAME" as in GT3 or GTC(a bit similar perhaps but not THE SAME!!!)!!!!!!!!
