The Nissan gtr really helped me out. It's only 77000 cr new so it's really affordable.
You'll need a gallardo for an aspec race, so save up haha
Seasonal events are the easiest way to make money, especially when you have a 200% bonus.

Also, try a couple of the tuning garages. They have some great tunes.

If you have the time, FITT events are a good way to try the best tuners. The current 400pp one seems to be floating along just nicely.

As for cars to buy, do you want to win by a mile or just win with a good drive?

When I started out I bought cars that could do as many events as possible to save me money, but as that isn't a problem anymore I'd just enjoy as many as you can. RGT is a good 500PP car if it comes up in the ucd,ZR1 C6 also a good car and the Elise 111R (RM'd or not).

Dude, starting out do whatever you feel like. Enjoy the game.

To improve your skills and driving theory, do the licences and special events. Especially the amg nurburgring one.

Get tuning info from here in the tuning subforum. Once you understand what effect each tuning aspect has you'll be able to make your own tunes.

After you memorize the tracks and learn how your cars handle, start turning off your aids and using lower grip tyres. This is where the fun is.

The Bugatti Veyron is insanely quick, but not so great in the bends; it beats nearly all road cars in the game, but once you start battling those race cars, you're in an ENTIRELY different league. I haven't used the Veyron in a while, but I do know how I'd tune it. I'd say the most basic tuning you can understand that affects handling would be the brakes, and then the LSD (Limited Slip Differential). With the brakes, to improve oversteer when braking in a corner, (reduce understeer when braking in a corner) simply set the rear brake setting to maximum. This doesn't do much, and it will also decrease the deceleration (basically increase the time it takes you to stop) when braking. I don't really recommend doing this; you can get the same results from the LSD without increasing braking distance by lowering the braking sensitivity. Also, Lower the Acceleration sensitivity for more oversteer coming out of the corners - don't lower it too much, (at least I think this will happen; some cars have so much understeer you can have the settings all at the minimum and still get unwanted understeer) or the car will may lose grip accelerating out of the corner and spin out. This spinning-out is common in many of the Lotus Elises without proper LSD tuning. (or driver control... ;) ). You can win the Veyron from the GT World Championship in the Professional series events. OR, if you can save 2,000,000 Cr. you can usually find one at the OCD (I don't think theres one in the most recent update) or in the UCD.

Do some B spec until you get the NR-A roadster cup, which gives the Furai as a prize car. Then hit up the A spec Madrid seasonal with it, which will earn you more cash than you know how to deal with, plus lots of xp. A new GTR V-spec upgraded and tuned works too.

You'll need to earn a fair bit of cash, for example one of the events needs the Formula GT, i.e. 5 million credits.

Once you've earned a bit more cash and levelled up a bit, a race modified Corvette ZR-1 with all the performance upgrades is a weapon when driven correctly. It'll win like the wind, which will give you a Toyota Minnolta which covers you for C class/LMP requirements.

The Furai, in my opinion, is better. I usually get quicker lap times than in the Corevette.
