Cars too light?

I made a track and was racing around it when I quit and just went to ram a race car at about 140 and they were going 80. This was the result.

If you had seen the replay this would be hard to believe. You would at least think it would be heaver, but nope. Any believable explanation.
 
Without seeing the replay it's hard to tell, my guess would be wheel on wheel contact, have seen some very big accidents in real Motorsport not necessarily carrying that much speed, does seam unusual for GT5 though.

Edit-ignore that, re-read your original post with the speed differential-that'd do it at the right angle
