Is this a sexual thing?

There's a standard early '90's Toyota that I can't remember the model of... I'll check later.

Edit: I'm probably thinking of the Lexus you mentioned sorry.

'06 Focus ST has working foglights.

When it's foggy, that is.

Put on low beam headlights and it looks pretty cool - blue Xenons with yellow fogs.

Nice plug for the CoTW

Hehe. Would have put a link but haven't worked it out on the app.:dunce:

Anyway there is also the 69 'Vette, it has yellow driving lights like the 'Car of the Week' Camaro.

I have a suspicion that the Challenger has them too, but I haven't used it at night, and the Mach1 Mustang has rectangular lights in the grill but I'm not sure what they are.

I don't know what you're talking about.

Almost all of the rally cars are supposed to be rigged up with foglights for preventing accidents because the sight often tends to be obscured for characteristic of the races.

The Golf R '10 has LED foglights.

The GT-R '12 has some LED strip lights on the front bumper, they come on as dipped beam lights, so I suppose they're fog lights.

Not quite - they are "Daytime Running Lights" and I curse Audi for introducing them. To me they are electronic bling.

Actually the European Commission made it obligatory; that all vehicles manufactured in the European Union after 01.Jan.2011 have to include daytime running lamps. In order to make the car more visible to other road users.

:ouch:

Vorsprung durch Technik! (I guess this is a general/common expression that is used in English ads as well. So the use of German language should be within the AUP.)

on topic: This thread needs moar pictures. :D

Thanks a lot Europe!

If you can't see a 1500-odd kg lump of metal and plastic bearing down on you then you really shouldn't be anywhere near the road. Unless you are blind.

I don't get it either, apparently scientists thought it was a good idea

There's no way to make a car more visible, definitely not with pointless lighting, unless scientists want to say that every car should be painted fluorescent colours...

Didn't The Scandinavians have the running lights first? I think its a good idea, but the Audi ones are annoying.

The MK4 Mondeo has them, too. I'm still not sure if I like them.

I always stare at them though, then my eyes go weird and I can't see. I'm a rabbit like that.
