hmm... so that would probably not make it a good car to learn stick on. Maybe I'll look somewhere else.

Emailed the seller of the Cressida. Turns out it needs a ignition control module. Which is $200-350... :indiff: Not sure if it's worth the effort.

If that's the only problem, then I'd say that car is worth $2350 if that 154k miles is real. But it could be hiding other problems that you'll find as soon as you replace that part.

Turns out the Cressida isn't really worth the effort. Looking for a car that would at least run when I bought it. I do find the Infiniti J30 interesting though. Found a 1995 model for $1000 with 75k miles on it. (the price sort of worries me) Anything I should know about the J30? Will probably create a help choose a car thread soon... Just going through this thread for small looks at cars of interest.

Maybe it's because it's a horrible looking car (to me at least) but it does sound good considering price an mileage.

It is rather ugly, but it gives it some uniqueness. :p They're pretty uncommon, which is one attraction. And RWD. :D

Low price like that and low mileage scream trouble to me. If the car is mechanically and cosmetically in good shape, why is it priced so low? Perhaps the miles were rolled back.

This was the thread I was looking for! Apologies for posting in the "Cars You Plan On Buying" thread. :scared:

Just taking the quote from my other post:
I couldn't find another thread asking about people's opinions on what to buy as a future car, but this is close enough. How are 2004 Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart Wagons and 2001 Lexus IS300? I'm quite interested in them, but just not sure how they'd be in the long run. Mainly curious about the Mitsubishi since it feels like a very uncommon car.
