Is this even possible now with these ridiculous nerfs to the Seasonal Events cash (500k race turned into 168k:nervous:)? I play about 5-6 hours a week of GT5 (would love to have more) but now it seems like I'll never be able to afford any of the cars I want unless I try my hand at duping which would kind of ruin the magic of the game for me. Any ideas?

I just let Bob drives the x2010 and do the dream car championship whenever I don't feel like driving or I'm busy doing something else, it takes about 40-45 mins and you gain 1.7m
So far so good for me. I don't care about the mileage for that car since I have 2

Sorry I'm kinda new to forum terms, what's a BoB?

oops sorry that's what they called the B spec driver

K thanks for the heads up, I still gotta work my Bspec racer up to that level to do Dream Car Championship though. 👍

I agree mate, nothing like letting BoB rake in the dollars for you.

There's not a lot of ways to get fast money early on though so you will need some patience! I am also a casual gamer and I am looking to start a regular room for those of us unable to spend 12 hours a day racing (one day I gotta try that) and you're welcome to have a look. Add me on PSN if you like, PSN id also Heathenpride) and we can race without anyone getting cranky at our clearly unprofessional racing :dopey:

Also if you add me I can find a decent car to gift to you and then you can sell it, might nett you half a mil or at least a few hundred thou if lucky... I gotta send you a car less than $1m so i am uncertain what you would get for it but we can try at least.

Theres no way it can be done that fast, unless I am totally missing something.

Only 168k? So that means 2 of those races will buy you a nice Ferrari... Wow back when the game started and in gt4 it actually took a lot of races, savings, and skill to earn a nice car and it felt great once you had it and could go online to show it off. But i think i am thinking the opposite of you because i think the prizes are WAY too much money!

It certainly does not take long... the first race alone only takes 8 min or so, depends on how many times you order BoB to pull his finger out and "SCHNELL!"

yeah that's true plus if I use FGT it took about 1 hr, with x2010 it's about 45 mins i guess
and 1.7m is after 200% bonus

I log onto GT5 DAILY! Even if I know that I won't have time to play. I am sitting at 200% "Bonus" for credits. Then, when you DO finally get to play, you will get the max amount of credits per race.

is the dream car championship the best B spec money grinder?

in 30 minutes you can get over 2.7 mill from the ferrari seasonal

and doing the a-spec auto grind at night will net you about 4 million

those 2 things alone should have you at the 20m cap in only a couple days..

stop whining.

get a maxed enzo, do the 1-lap of sarthe seasonal in <3:20 by cutting chicanes.

do 6 laps/races that's 1 million credits in <20 mins.

plus should go up even more with the 200% log in bonus- EDIT: there you go 336k

now get to it

I like how stating a reality that many of the working class deals with translates into whining. Thanks to all who responded with positive comments and ideas!

This

Trouble is, I quite often log in, not intending to play, and then before you know it, 2 hours have passed...

Also, if you're struggling for creds and don't want to have to keep coming back to your machine, check out the b spec thread, there's a 'widget' (like an app, but Steve J RIP didn't think of it) that automatically runs race after race while you're at work, down the pub or 'entertaining'. You might not earn mega for yourself, but if you send enough b spec cash to your b spec buddies (yes, you'll need a few online friends to make this work) then maybe they'll return the favour and make you rich. I made at least 16 mil this way and I wasn't even trying.

No. The best B-Spec grinder is the Online B-Spec seasonal. Do Indy in the 2J which takes 16'15.00 and you get 3 million credits in less than an hour and a half. I watch TV shows, eat, etc and each commercial or whatever, I go and reset the race. I even got a free countdown timer for my laptop to remind me (alarm). I've been able to get 80+ million credits in the last couple weeks, just casually. The PS3 is turned off each night.

First off the races were not nerfed, they were set back to original payouts. Second, if you grind seasonals you can still make good money/hour. I play 6 hours on a good week and I can afford pretty much any car I want, so I don't know what your deal is.
