Are you kidding?
This all stems from an arguement myself and ExgieExcel had on MSN.

I think the Westfields are cheap ripoffs of Caterhams with big heavy smelly V8's squeezed in.

Ok, storytime children.

Lotus originally made the Lotus 7's and Super 7's, but got bored and stopped making them.

Being an intellegant company, Caterham quickly bought the rights to make the 7s.

Westfield wanted to buy the rights, but were too slow, so they made a naff copy.

And for the record, the Caterham R500 Evo is faster than anything in the Westfield lineup, and most other cars.

And for less than £45,000 it's by far the fastest thing for the money.

Discuss!

I never said westfields were better, just that they looked better.
Anyway, I would post the conversation, but it would be embarassing on my part.

Its got to be Caterham - and Westfields don't look better. Only the 'Seight' has a V8 - others use Fiesta or similar engines - they aren't as developed as Caterham's 7s'

Caterham > All

Until it rains...

In dry weather, it's you and the car against the road.
In wet weather, it's you against the car and the road.

I've never heard of a 'Westfield' but the Canterham is a great alternative to the old 7, its cheaper and has SVT Focus power to boot.

I like the new 'stretched' model as well...

"Shopping Trolleys"?????? Pug 206s, Saxos and Fiestas etc are shopping trolleys.

How can the Westfield look better when they both look the same? If they were parked next to one another with no badges, could you tell the difference?

Bu, after saying that, Caterham.

Or Westfield.

No, Caterham.

No, Westfield.

Oh, I don't know. I wouldn't kick either out of bed.

A good *bump* always gets some replies.

There are slight differences. But nothing worthy of noting.

Things are compared to trollies due to their insane and pathetic steering.

Both are fantastic, since I've actually ridden in a Caterham I will vote for Caterham and the fact that Caterham's ARE Lotus 7's rebadged.

I'll say westfield simply because in my country it is much easier to get one than a Caterham (there's a Westfield dealer in Perth but i think you'd have to import the Caterham privately.)

If both were readily available i'd probably go with A Caterham because as live4speed said Caterhams are Lotus 7's. Honestly though either would be great (unless of course i built it, then it would probably fall apart.)
