Have to do that after finished mucking around in my Viper. Got an idea though.

I forgot to mention, TVR&Ferrari_Fan will be the judge for Week 1 and Week 2.
The winner of Week 1 will be the judge and may think up the theme for week 3.
The winner of week 2 will be the judge and may think up the theme for week 4

and so on.

so, you can only use brightness/contrast for colours and smudge tool to clean up textures so no aftermarketing blurring? what about the clone tool, crop, and resize?

[edit - doh! i just got done taking some pictures only to realise that the nsx i bought was a '90 :( ]

i thought 2.0 Rules were tight! :D i can see people like rayquaza and those anti-editing people do well here. maybe i'll enter one of my very old photos from when i started here.

jgda9rs - with the smudge tool allowed, expect pictures to come out as sharp and as clean as the 2.0 and h2h comps ...

Sorry Empty Space, i noted that removing the watermark was allowed, but there is basically no need for cropping but i can allow resizing. And the 90's is allowed too, i absolutely forgot that it was made in that year too :)

I nearly did that as well but luckily spotted a 91 or 95 can't remember mine will be up as soon as I have been round Nurburg

I think you should allow cropping as well, seems a bit unnecessary to ban it if resizing is allowed, besides with a resized photo you can't always tell if the photo has been cropped anyway. And while you are at it you could allow adding frames as well. :sly:

I'm using a localized version of Gimp so I'm not really sure what the smudge tool is. I suppose it means that you can blur, say, the border between window and car's roof if GT4 has messed it up? But not do anything else than blur? And only to borders like that, you can't clean the whole roof to make it look better?

Well cropping is basically the same, lol.

Smudge tool is that little thing with the finger, it's not blurring, it's simply used to smoothen edges. Borders will not be allowed, because i know how they can make a picture look better compared to another one.

Um, isn't that why people like to use them? Ok, no borders it is then. Maybe it fits with the basic idea of this comp.

This is a very good idea.:)

i'll get my entry tomorrow.:)

I decided that i have time tonight, so:

FINAL ENTRY:

FINAL ENTRY

Seeming there has been a stream of entries so far heres mine.

Final Entry

Do you know how hard it is to work with a white car! Enjoy
Rayquaza= Yours is really good like the blur
Ithiele= Yours is good as well
EDIT: Changed Entry Once as I wasn't satisfied with the first entry. Go by my gallery to see the other ones

I think cropping should be allowed too, because I use it to get rid of the watermark most of the time. Then again, I'm probably not going to enter this comp. I like being able to edit my photos more. maybe I should leaveit up to you guys, but I think cropping is important.

I said, cropping is basically the same as resizing, so if you need the crop tool, use it.

I try not to use photoshop to edit pictures apart from brightness and contrast because I prefer to have the pure picture that hasnt been tampered with. This makes it look orginal also sometimes better in most cases better. Just thought I would have a say thats all

And that's basically what the competition is about.

Then shouldn't he title tell you that's what it's about? You get the impression that the point is a certain car, certain location, not low editing...

I strongly recommend you not to allow the smudge tool, you do not realise what people like I, Moglet or people liek us can do with the smudge tool...It's like the 2.0 comp. Seriously, if the smudge tool is allowed, I want my blur tool as well :grumpy:

If that is true, then i'll remove smudge tool from the allowed list, i didn't know the posibilites of that.

bah, i wish i would have known my car was legal, theres two pictures up now from the same place on the track as the picture i want to use. oh well.

Nice one NTX! 👍
And Empty space, i'm sorry to hear that.
