Certain DLC cars cannot join specific events... wat.

So I made a second account and started it from scratch. I'm currently A-spec level 17 in there. I went to the Mini Challenge, and the 2011 Mini Cooper (car from the Car Pack 2) can't even enter the event. PD missed something out, I think.

Anyone having similar issues?
 
I knew this was going to happen. I just hope they are reading this and fix it. I understand with the Chrome Line cars, but a Mini is a Mini and it should be able to enter.

They forgot to fix the restrictions for the new DLC cars. Will probably be fixed in the next update.

That should be PDs new motto. I'm sure all of the recent updates have fixed something bodged or broken in an earlier update.

Ageed. I refuse to take pictures of my cars until I hear that they fixed the camera mode being stuck on while racing.
 
I've always been a bit peeved that we can't use our Stealth cars in anything.

Eh? I was able to use my Stealth R35 in the Suzuka 1000km, and my Stealth R10 TDI in the Indy 500 :confused:

You can't use them in the seasonal events usually. The Audi could be, probably, but none of the Super GT cars.
 
The Mini Challenge problem just requires PD to tick the box next to "Allow Mini Cooper S '11". It was probably just an oversight by them.

It does annoy me that we cant use the Stealth NSX in the latest SuperGT seasonal though. I like the normal liveries as much as the next guy, but I'd much rather use the Stealth over the regular cars.

It is the motto of all devs now. Thing will get overlooked and they can be fixed. Get used to it folks. It is the new paradigm. And it is vastly superior to no updates/nocontent.

This. GT5 would remain 1.00 if we weren't telling PD where they went wrong.

I know that but most devs fix issues in the original game with patches, PD are constantly patching their patches.

Dont confuse DLC and updates to fixes or promised content being added.

Dirt3 was released bug free and just added DLC/content that was already planned. FM4 was released with a huge steering assist bug, but quickly fixed within weeks. Now just DLC is added every month. Shift2 was released so bugged it couldnt be played with a wheel. After 2 patches it was better, but other things got broken. Support stopped for S2. Then you have GT5. Still major issues, still things not implemented that are on the box, and besides adding Spa....the rest of the DLC is pretty weak, and it seems to take them longer than any other Dev to do anything.

Right. And taking a year to get updates isnt a sign that they are supporting the game, its just a sign of how incompetent, or lazy, or both, at getting GT5 where it should have been at release.

Okay, then why are you here? I've played games that the developers are lazy, incompetent, and short-sighted. I don't play those games anymore, and I don't discuss them (usually). How about focusing on the OP, since apparently you aren't fully aware of how much support and how frequently the support is provided.

I hope they do fix the DLC oversight in some races. It's apparently where the cars are listed, not only minimally restricted.

I don't think he is doing to for that reason. I'm the same, I used to put a few laps down, hit the replay and take some pictures, repeat. It was fun. I used to take tons of picture, since the filter bug. I've taken 3 pictures. Having to quit the game each time is a pain.

I expect they just forgot to update the Mini event to add the DLC car to the accepted list.
