Challenging but appropriate car for Supercar Festival and beyond?

I'm rebuilding my GT5 file since my idiot roommate managed to wipe my hard drive by screwing with a system update. :grumpy: I've gotten to the Pro series and it's time to do the Supercar Festival.

Last time through (a year and a half ago) I spent my hard-earned $1 million on an LM car that annihilated the competition for many race series to come and was not really any fun.

So I'm looking for a car that, bone stock, is on par with other cars in this race and hopefully for a few more series to come (kill several birds with $1million). I'd like something premium and requires minimal or no power limiter use, tuning, etc. My skill level is above average, though nothing amazing. Been playing since GT1, but I frequently get out of practice.

If I remember right, when I did this race, I had just bought the Viper ACR and I think I decided to run the car stock as it seemed like it could be a fun event. I found the AI unusually fast, which I later found out was because they used better than Sports Hard tires.

So basically, pick a fast sports car on sports hard tires and it could be a close race.
