Championship save?

Are you able to turn off the system while your half way through a championship and continue from where you where when you turn it back on?

At the moment I have just finished two of the races in the Formula one championship but only have time to do one more before I go out.

No. There are no saving mid-championship, since they've made the championships much shorter in this than GT4. (Not saying that that's why, but it's a fact)
Just leave it on the pre-race screen while you're out :-/
