I think this deserves a thread of its own.

Please could those with GT4 use this thread to detail information about the various championships in GT4:

How many are there in each hall (beginner, professional etc).

How many races in each championship

How many laps in each race in each championship.

Total number of championships (not individual races)

Total number of endurance races :)

*blink blink* that's a fair bit of work to do...

so far, it seems 5 races per series.. there's tons of different areas to race... laps vary depending on race and track....

and endurance races doesnt open up till you have finished 25%... and i havent even done 5%

Cool , how do you know that endurance races doesn't open up till you have done 25%?

Yeah I know its a lot of work...lol

But I don't mean one person for this information. Can people who have this sort of info just spoonfeed bits at a time on this thread.

Cheers :)

beginner/professional/extreme...

i just tried to get into extreme and it gave me a message.. unfortunately my chinese reading is nowhere as good as my speaking, so i have to wait for my friend or wife to read it for me~~ but it said something..

*edited spelling :P*

Still confused on this.

There are beginner hall (8 championships), professional (9 championships) and extreme (???? championships).

This adds up to nowhere near the 200 mentioned before and is a lot smaller than GT3 which had about 20 championships in each level. :indiff:

are there not manufacturers races in a different place? That would give more races. Don't quote me on this coz I don't even have the game.

true, but we are assuming too much. it is possible that car manufactures have their own cups ala gt2. it seems logical that races are spread out over the map. one has to admit, the main navigation map looks imense. our races may not just be found in a simple league, though some are. PD got craetive with the interface. think creativly

Yeah exactly. This is getting me seriously worried. No point having huge amount of cars but only a few championships.

Even if there are separate manufacturer championships like in GT2, GT2 still had lots of other championships.

I can't help wondering if they just couldn't be bothered to construct many championships near the end.

8 or 9 in all 3 levels only totals around 25, unlike GT3 which had about 80.

Also GT3 had 10 race championships whereas it looks like gt4's max out at 5.

From what I've seen theres 9 race halls, theres the Beginner hall, Professional hall, Extreme hall, Mission hall, Japanese hall, European hall, American hall, Rally hall and Endurance hall. On top of that the following manufacturers have at least one event...
Alpine
Aston Martin
Audi
BMW
Cheverolet
Chrysler
Citoren
Daihatsu
Honda
Hyundai
Isuzu
Lotus
Mazda
Mercedes
MG
Mini
Mitsubishi
Nissan
Opel/Vauxhall
Peugeot
Renault
Saleen
Shelby
Subaru
Suzuki
Toyota
Triumph
TVR
VW

So if you ask me, theres more than enough scope for events, especailly the 9 halls, call it 8 not counting the mission hall.

Also as pointed ou tin the post before mine, the 10 race series have returned so they'll still take a while to complete each event.

L4S dont all manufacturers have events, and do you know if some have tuned and normal events?

Thats all the manufacturers with events I've noticed, I don't know how many events for each though.

do you need to enter the Extreme hall under a certain condition or somthing?..

then whats that "Special Condition" hall I saw in the GT resort map?!?!..

The special condition hall, is ther mission hall, basically a series of races with unusual conditions for victory, like you start 3 mins behine the leader and have to catch him and overtake in a set amount of time that sort of thing. To enter the Extreme hall you need to do something, I'm not sure if you have to get to a certain percent through the game like you do for the endurance races.

no
Special condition hall is rally race, wet circuit, 1vs1 race (easy money)

mission hall is the one that u have to start 3 minutes behind

Okay, trying to get more info on championships.

As I'm disappointed with the amount of championships (compared to GT3) in the beginner and professional hall can you tell me more about manufacturer championships?

Are these series championships or just single races. Does each manufacturer have various different races for different cars or just one championship?

How can you be dissapointed, in GT3 you had a combination of Manufacturer events, national events and the rest, and that only totaled 20 cups max, in GT4 they're split up thats all, the Japanese hall for example has all the cups for Japanese cars, remeber the Tourist Trophy, well now it's not in the beginner hall, it'll be in the Audi section. Theres 9 bloody halls, NINE, then you have the manufacture events on top. The manufacture events I've been told are proper events not just one race on a random track like in GT2, some manufacturers have one event some have more it varies.

Sorry my bad, I overlooked that there was the special condition hall and the mission hall.

so 8 halls with like 8 events each =64 + 80 manufactures *1 event = 64+80 =144 events and some halls my have more than 8 events and some manufactuers may have more than one event ,and maybe there are hidden events ,for example when you complete XX% of the game they unlock events.

Cheers Trevor :) :)

That looks more encouraging :)

GT3 didn't have 20 total events though, had around 80, there were over 20 just in beginner, another 20 in professional etc etc

But yeah I do see what you mean - the championships are all still there but yaris cup/beetle cup etc etc will be in respective manufacturers instead.

Sounds promising. I really hope that they have the long championships (20 lap races) like they did in GT3 as well - like the polyphony cup etc
