There is a small chance I might get the online section of GT4 early! This is because I signed up to the Sony Playstaion Online BETA trials, this is where we 'test' games before there release. By test there isn't much involved i.e. its either broken or working. If I do get GT4 it would only be the online part and it wont work when the public servers are up so I will have to buy the real thing eventually. I porbably won't get it until maybe a month before the release if we get it at all. As this is a highly anticipated game they might not want to spoil the release and they probably have many proffesionals testing the game accuratley.

Anyway :p to the rest of you!

Its for the UK only but I think there was a US one. It filled up back in March last year back when socom came out, socom being the first game we tested:D. The site I found it on is : http://this one here! ^_^

Keram are you in Liverpool?

I know that previous GT games have been tested at the Sony facility in Liverpool.
I know a couple of people who worked on the last one. And one who is still a games tester.

He said there were gamestester jobs going up to Christmas. But I couldn't think of a worst job than testing a really bad game, over and over again.

And can you think of a better job than testing games like Far Cry or GT4 over and over?

"Is there anything wrong with it?"
"Uh, I'm not really sure, it's intermittent, trying to record it precisely is difficult, give me a few more months."

The fun of testing.

No I'm not a proffesional; its not a job, a signed up to the trials and paid £40 since then I have recieved a network adapter, socom with the headset, hardware, and other games but the other games weren't full copies. They only had the online part so the offline part was removed. No I don't live in Liverpool for that matter.

By testing all we do is see if there is lag or any bugs where the player gets frozen, etc. They we say and the develpoer has to actually identify the problem and sort it. I think it was setup because once the game goes public they dont fix any problems, probably because they can't communicate well with the public, whereas this trial is setup where they email us and ask simple questions.

Sony don't like it when things go wrong basically.
