Hey guys. I built my own rig about 2 years ago, and found that dust and all kinds of crap clogs up the gears in the pedal-thingies.
So I finally got too it and hung it upside down (the pedal rack, not the rig), and thought that I might just go ahead and change the assigned accelerator axis to the clutch pedal, and vice versa...hmm, no I can't.

So to the question:
Is there a way to do this in GT5, or do I have to physically switch the potentiometers placing on the pedal itself?

EDIT: What wheel are you using?

I guess thoeretically you can just switch the wires, but I dont think they are long enough.

Typically when people invert their pedals they remove the pedals from the original casing (marking the gas brake and clutch). Then they mount the individual pedals to their rig and switch the gas and clutch so they are oriented correctly.

You might be able to just switch these wires or extend them if needed and re-use the original casing. Which I have to say would prevent you from spacing the pedals out exactly how you want them (a huge benifit of inveting pedals)

this video should help you undestand what is usually done for this.

Sorry. forgot to mention that.
I'm using the Logitech G25...
But I'd like to see if there is a software solution before slaughtering the pedal rack.

Thanks for the link, I watched some of his other tweak vids.

The only wheel that can do that through software on a console is the Thrustmaster T500 wheel unfortunately.

I dont know of anyone who has reverse mounted or inverted those pedal while keeping the original casing so you might be on your own as far as figuring out what to do.

I can however confirm that opening up the pedal casing is fairly easy. You just need to be carefull with the tiny wires when opening it. If your warranty is up you might as well crack it open.
