Change l/r view w fanatec wheel

I cannot figure out how to look left and right with a fanatec wheel (car elite). Profile/option/controller hav option (4?) to assign the x-b buttons to change view, but seems to have no effect

Difficult to race with your view locked.
 
I do not think it is possible with the wheels. I know the controllers allow for left and right viewing but as far as I know the wheels will not support this.
 
I have a GT2 and I don't think its possible

FYI, I think the left stick control veiw in GT5
 
when I went back to forza 3 a few weeks ago, I could look 90degree to the left and right, but, I've not been able to do so in fm4 sadly.
 
That is definately one point to change for Turn 10. It would be nice to have more options for the wheel layout.

I would prefer to be able to select the view (left, right, back) with the mini joystick. I could live without the option menu during a race.
 
I discovered the issue is the Kinect conflict. If you turn off headtracking they the options in the controller menu take effect.
