I am level 29 at the moment so havent quite got into the top end of the endurance races yet. With tracks that have the changeable weather conditions such as Suzuka, Nurburgring, Le Mans, can the weather change at any time during the race or is it just a random setting at the start of the race?? Would like to know :)

Thankyou

This is what I've experienced (not the 24 hours)... If the race starts without rain, it doesn't start to rain. If the race strats with rain, it can stop.

And I've heard from other people, if you want a sunny race, make sure it doesn't rain at the beginning.
So much for the dynamic weather.

Just like the real world, the weather start, during, & after will be completely random; It can end quickly, in a few minutes, or last hours. This also includes the time as well. However, these won't apply if a track only supports change weather (ex: Suzuka Circuit). Instead it'll just have 2 choices as its randomization factors: having weather on or off. Going with off will just be sunny weather, & either chosen factor stays permanent until you retire/exit. Multiplayer can surpass these affects.

Ive had a suzuka race on B-spec i started before i went to sleep, it was pure sunshine. When i woke up after it finished, it was raining. So it can change from sunny to rain in B-spec at least.

It is possible to the weather change during the race. I´ve started a sunny race in 24h Nurburgring, and couple laps later, started to rain... and in some sectors of the track, the rain was noticeable stronger than others... pretty cool!

Ive started B-spec at Le Sarthe with light rain, all the AI started on the wrong tyres and crept round for the 1st lap B4 changing, the weather will change during the race, and then I've had races thats its rain for the entire race.

When I did the Suzuka 1000km it was sunny the whole time apart from near the end some cloud came and made the track darker but not much.
I thought it was going to rain but it didn't.

Suzuka 1000km, no rain but it looked like it might later in the race.
One end (spoon corner, 130R) was very bad light, like a storm was coming, but down on the pit straight and down at the start of the S's it was bright sunshine.
But the rain held off, easy race.

How does the weather behave during online racing regarding setup "changeable 1-10"? If we start a race with 0% weather and 0% water on the surface, but 5 on “changeable” weather… When does it start rain?

If I set the car up for a dry race then it's raining at the start, how do I change the tyres before the start without changing the weather for the restart?

OR how do I tell what the weather is before I press start? In the real world I'd look out of the pits and fit the right tyre to go out to the track.

I went to start a race and it was throwing it down so I paused the start and swapped to Wets only to find the start was dry! Argh!

Is the chance for rain the same with "changeable on 0-10"? My feeling is that the only different is faster weather-changes on 10...
