Changing A Car's Name

Is it possible to change a car's name, as it would appear in a course record or replay or garage?

I want to be able to separate hybrids from legit cars in my garage by calling them Luxy's Supra RZ (instead of just Supra RZ).

Can I just change the BaseName property?
 
Can't do it, U can only change it to a name that actually exists in the game.
 
I keep all my brids on one memory card that way I have the cars separated an don't get them cornfused
