Changing parts

Hi,

I have a problem with my copy of GT1.
10 years ago I got into GT and have recently aquired a PS1, fixed it and am now working my way through GT1 again to try to recapture my youth.

Now, although I have got an A class licence and about 50000 in credit I still cannot change parts to modify my original car.
Have I forgotten a qual or necessary step or is my copied game the problem?
Everything else seems to work and the console is modded.

Any help you can lend an old GT'er would be most appreciated.

Sadly for you, you won't get any help from here with regards to information about an illegally copied game since discussion of pirated materials is forbidden by our Acceptable Use Policy.

A used, but official, copy of GT1 should be available in many places and shouldn't cost too much now. I'd suggest shelling out a couple of bucks for an official copy and seeing if that is indeed the issue.

Please do stick around and take some time to have a read through the forums here as there's a wealth of information on just about every aspect of every issue of GT which you should take advantage of when you're equipped with a legitimately purchased copy of the game.
