Chaparrals. Love or hate?

What's your opinion on the chaparrals?

I love them, how can you not ? They are an important piece of history in their own right, a story of rebellion just like Lamborghinni was in its time. A story of how to beat the crap out of multinational racing firms with bit of glass fiber and some genius ideas.

We definatly need more chaparrals, they re the first cars I set my heart on buying in gt5 and I finally got them, I use them virtually everyday !

It comes with a Bimini top, I want one!

I'm indifferent. They ticked me off a bit trying to gold the b-spec Historic Racing Car Cup. But other than that I have no hate for them.
 
Love 'em. I love my 2J 'FRIDGE' car. Annihilated the historic cup in both A & B-Spec. And wins the American Indy grind as well. Only downside to it is that I think it needs more gears. 👍
 
They're both great. I especially like the 2J. It has a lot of history in racing and was financed by a Texan. 👍

The haters are probably too poor to own one. They just keep losing to it in the historic races. :lol:
 
love them to pieces hated going up against them in the historic cup, but still beat them with my challenger....though i did have to wall one in monaco to do it :(
But have good memories from gt4 cant wait to be able to afford one in gt5
 
Love Chaparral, hate PD.

The former is one of the most radical companies in race-car design troughout history and has made some remarkable and exciting cars. The later has modelled them as standards an only given us 2 of them (One or two more would be just the perfect amount!).
 
I love them, for what they represent to motor racing history, and US racing history more precisely.

Being a fellow Texan, I'm ashamed to say that I haven't visited the museum....YET!

I also think it's a shame they are only rendered as standard cars. They were anything BUT standard in their time.
 
Love/Hate kinda thing for me. Love the cars, but I hate racing against them--especially the 2J. My B-spec buddy just cannot beat it in the American championship, even with cars ranging from 900HP-1000HP. In A-spec, I always end up in second in the Historic car race. Mainly Cote d' Azur.
