The Charade Circuit (also known as Circuit Louis Rosier and Circuit Clermont-Ferrand) is a motorsport race track in the Auvergne mountains in France near Clermont-Ferrand, the home of Michelin and Patrick Depailler.
Built in 1958 around the sides of an extinct volcano, the originally 8.055 km (5.005-mi) long Charade was described as an even twistier and faster version of the Nürburgring. Some drivers like Jochen Rindt in the 1969 French Grand Prix complained of motion sickness, and wore open face helmets, just in case. But 1970 was no better- Rindt was hit in the face by a rock, something that the circuit was usually littered with, and often caused punctures on the track.

Are roads driveable? Could someone scan the exact roads after all these years? If not, forget about it...

Most of it is still public roads and they were still holding local touring at races on the old track in the mid to late 80's from what I remember. The very bottom part is now a proper track but there are still a fare few close walls.

This actual track (public roads) needs to be reclaimed as a racing circuit before it's too late. A shorter (but still five miles long) scarier Nordschleife: who doesn't want that?

*PD goes to the track to scan it...

*Scans this version instead of the full version.

They're mostly drivable. There's a roundabout where turn 2 should be. And a small section of the road where the public road connects to what is now the actual racetrack is there, but barely. Have a look for yourself.

The rest of the roads appear to be in tact.

For all those desperate people, when the gps course maker comes, (if it does that is) you can go drive the roads and get it on your copy of gt6, also pd should add a track sharing feature
