Charity Needed. Lost GT5 Data.

hi trading community, my old 60 gig breathed its last breaths and with it, it took hundreds of hours of data.

most importantly, over 1000 unique cars, and time put into license tests as well as a/b spec completion.

im here to ask kindly for car and coupon donations.

any donation would be appreciated, but level 21-24 tickets, year '67 tickets for the old classics like the p340, the Jag, or chapparels would be a godsend. if not any superGT or Nascar would be appreciated as well.

i dont expect anything, but i thought i would atleast reach out and ask. im sure people have abused this community in this way before, but im just trying to get competitive in the online scene again where i would like to be, that being said, any car that would be useful in seasonal events would be nice.

No offense, but it seems the "lost data" only applies to the new users looking for a free ride. Is it just me or is just the new guys that have this problem? </jaded>

No offence also BUT You can just take the hard drive from you old PS3 and Place it in your NEW PS3 Though you void your warranty once you remove it. And there's also COSTUMER SERVICE.

I've been through this.. lol except I got a new PS3 and gave the old one to my friend and he wiped everything off of it. I wasn't into GT5 at the time nor any games for that matter when I gave it away.. I recently felt nostalgic and started playing again haha. Good times though when I had it earlier. Had the X1 in every color and made $250+ selling them on eBay :D btw I got GT5 on the day of its release so I accumulated a lot of cars.. all gone haha. Now looking back, I miss them, but here we go again.

The best time I had was when I made a new account. It is very easy to achieve the cars you want through the seasonals. If you remember your account log in, you should be able to get everything back you had as you just apply that account to your new PS3. I lost my PS3 in October and eventually got a new one for Christmas but I didn't miss a beat on my cars and tickets.

That didn't work for me :/ On my new PS3 I logged in from the same PS account but had no data from the old save...
 
What about the online back up ?

All my profiles do the automatic backup , I only have ps plus on one acc , I think it would be worth paying for plus to get it back ..

I don't disagree one bit. That's why I have ps plus. A lot of people though (only gauging by my friends list and people I know) don't have ps plus.

Correct, the user should learn to make a backup on USB. Lost data can be bad, but therefor you have a backup.

I agree with you that it looks like that...
But please keep in mind that it's a minority of the GT5 players that have an GTP account 👍
So it is not that weird that they come here with their first post...totally lost and confused...

Pretty sure you cant just slap your old HDD into a new ps3 and have all your save data ready to use, the new ps3 will ask to format the old HDD before use iirc. :confused:

I have done once for me and once for my friend. We both had a power outage and somehow it burned PS3 Fuse. So we exchanged Old HDD with the New PS3 and it had no problem. its not like a PC where you have to Install the drive. How ever in my case it was matched stats. Old ps3 was 120gig, slim and new ps3 is the same as old so driver is also equal! So what im trying to say is for same version PS3 i think it work, since it worked for me.

There is no forum law that says you have to be a long time member before you can ask for and recieve gifts. Those making such claims need to remember that gifting is the original concept.
