Most of you would know about this thread http://insidesimracing.tv/forums/viewtopic.php?f=108&t=8630&start=10 I started about Charlie Visscher from http://simracnwheels.com/ not refunding the $250.00 I made as a down payment on a custom wheel plate when I wanted to cancel my order and you might also remember this comment he made in he's response:

"I dont plan on and never did plan on not giving you anything back. Just wanted compensation for services rendered."

I just received this email from Charlie Visscher, which proves that this man is not only a THIEF!!!! but also a LIAR!!! as well.

First of all, I am not sitting around waiting for you to send emails. I made you an offer, and you told me to shove it up my ... I only made that offer to be nice. I am not obligated to return your deposit. On custom orders, deposits are non-refundable when canceled by the customer.

Why bring this up here? What the point? Charlie is a well respected contributor to the Sim community. Rather then making such ludicrous accusations why not contact a lawyer?

Its the truth and everyone should know it

People that know Charlie, know that is not Charlie, sorry. However you have been going around and posting some fairly libelous accusations about Charlie, you may need a lawyer yet.

It is Charlie you fool and he has ripped me off for $250.00.

Go and jump in your wicked sim rig you brag about so much.....wanker

What does my "wicked sim rig" have to do with you and Charlie? With you resorting to name calling kind of speaks volumes of your charterer.

Why defend him when you know nothing about what has transpired.......

And learn how to spell...

In fairness Cliff the opposite is true also.
No one except the two of you knows the truth.
Both party's will say there versions and that's it.

Obviously something nasty has happened and its a shame for both if you.

You owe lefty an apology in my view. Both of you forget it and move on. Lefty/Cliff that is.

I reported this thread. If your first was closed/deleted by a mod what makes you think making another is a good idea? Especially one with content such as this.

Two points:

1. You ordered a custom item and put a downpayment on it, signalling a solid intent to buy.

2. The supplier spent time on the development of said item.

-

I don't think you understand how custom manufacturing works. You're not paying extra money for exclusivity. You're paying extra money for the working hours sunk into designing and manufacturing said item. This is not like ordering an off-the-shelf wheel, changing your mind and refunding the item from a store that stocks hundreds of these things.

He is perfectly within his rights to keep the payment for services rendered, unless you have a contract stating that you get a full refund on cancellation. He didn't break the sales contract, you did.

This forum is not a pulpit from which you can attack people for imagined slights. If you think you've got a case, take it to a small claims court. But I can tell you right now, you don't.

Locked.
