With GT4 coming in shortly, anyone of the Admins ever though of organising or a Live Chat (IRC) or an organised Interview with GT's Creator, M. Kazunorii Yamauchi ?

Of course, stupid questions as 'when is it released' should be avoided, also obvioulsy what has already been answered.

But perharps it could be interesting to ask more technical questions, how things were done, a normal timeframe from car concept to 3D to Physics to playable...

Stuff like that.

Personnally, there is one question i'm rather curious about...

How are the License Tests made. Some of them are so tough, they must be though out, but practiced like hell. What determines a good time, and a 'Gold' time ?

It sounds a good idea, but we hardly doubt that THE MAN (Yamauchi-san) will ever sit around and chat with the admins. I bet all we see on him replying in Kanji's.

maybe someone representing GTPlanet can talk to him at E3

I don't believe M. Yamauchi speaks english. Or a very little bit. And although there is a high possibility that I'll be at E3, my japanese is no way near enought to engage in a conversation, other then ask him where the bathrooms are... ;)

On the other hand, contacting someone at Polyphony, inquiring about the possibility of M. Yamauchi answering some 'interview' questions Gtplanet.net would send, as a much better chance of success.

LIke for exemple, 10 to 15 well asked questions would be more then plenty. Perharps GTplanet could also have a special, exclusive screenshot or two, to show off in the 'futur' article about the game.

I believe it is very doable, if done right. GtPlanet.net would not do it to make money in selling magazines or anything of the sort, it is strickly Fan-based.

Anyways, its just a though i've been playing with for a while. I used to run the #valve and #Half-Life IRC chatrooms on Undernet and we had Gabe Newell come in a few times, it was great fun.

i am pretty sure he had a interpreter with him at E3 last year

A nice supermodel-like Japanese lady interpreter w/ short mico-mini skirt. :D

It would probably be hard to just get through to KY, but I'm sure he wouldn't mind answering a few questions if the admins could ever get through.

Yeah, Jordan's had his telephone number for years, but he just hasn't gotten around to bothering to ring him up.

Sorry for being sarcastic, but what you propose is a little beyond the scope of GTP's influence.

Trust Neon, he has a better idea of how infuential Jordan would be in getting KY to do an interview. It's not impossible but KY wouldn't go to Jordan, not a chance of that, and at the E3 show he's probably already got his days filled. As for the licenses, we already know how the times are decided, they do all the tests themselves and then they round up the best times for each one, the ammount they round it up by depends on how hard the license is.

I guess it won't happen here then.

Well they've been too busy lining up that John Kerry interview.

I don't believe so.

I do. This is not a site, nor is there any other site, for PD to come to for answering questions. That's what magazines are for.

However, PD might have somethign online for it's GT4 game title. Like a chat room of sorts, I suppose.

www.google.com

There is plenty of places for informations about the GT series. The only different between most place and this one is, most people here actually play the game, and have a good lot of experience.

That makes others come here and so on. Its a Place for very crucial informations concerning gameplay, tips and GT4.

GTPlanet is THE site...

I mean, I do not find any other WWW place where I receive latest news so fast.

OK, there is also GT racing point but not so uptodate and in German...

I'm sure that PD knows GTP... or at least heard about

What is the opinion of the GTP managers ? Did they already try to contact PD or vice versa ?

( I'm not sure Yamauchi do not speak english.. would be strange... maybe he only requires a good translator sothat he can express himself in japanese with the full meaning of his thoughts... you know that every word said by him is immediately send to the web, analysed, translated into a " Ferrari will be in GT4" to make money or sell paper ... so he'd better be sure of what he says... IMO)

Never say never. They just might surprise you.
