Can anyone help with an error I get everytime I turn the game on?
It says that:
Because the online functions of this game rely heavily on communication between players, accounts with the chat function disabled cannot be used to access them.
Can anyone help me get it enabled, or a workaround? I have no microphone or anything, is that the problem?
 
Are you under 18 years old?
If so, then I know where to look.
 
If an adult created your account for you, and provided your correct birthday, then PSN considers you a minor. And minors have the chat function disabled by default.
The adult who created your account can log into the website https://store.playstation.com/login.gvm , and one of the options they will have is "Edit Parental Controls". One of the options under that section is to enable the chat function for you.
 
Thanks BK, been stuck on that for ages, even unrestricted PC on the PS3
