I have noticed that in GT3, cars that were the very salt of the first two games, have been left out. The direction into which the third is going is basically the type of cars that ruled the first game.
The modified race cars are more important and you can't even try to make it with some cheaper car. This is due to a SERIOUS mistake in the game: THERE IS NO RACING MODIFICATION OPTION.
Darn, it would have been cool to see all those adveturous paint schemes with this new power delivered by the PS2.
I can only think of 1 reason and it is the same that stripped the count of cars by almost half from GT2. Anyway, IF there was a racing modification option, I can already see it as a great thing. For instance, the license-system is better than ever in that it is really spread out in the different events. Second, you can now get so much more fun from events as you can try to complete a series race by race.
Third, I would have so much liked to modify a 180SX, get it tuned and Castrol Supra hunting! (of course I know it's not in the game).
Cheers to every one who digs nr3!
