Well,I found out that there is a way to make cars cheaper.

You WILL need 2 Memory Cards,or this will not work.I will tell in steps how to do it.

1. Get some great expensive cars and some money. (not needed with low price cars)
2. Save the game.
3. Shut down your PS2.
4. Start it up again by opening the cd drive.Do not close it again,because you need to go to the menu.
5. Make a copy of your safe-game to your second Memory Card.
6. Shut down the PS2 again.
7. Switch places from the Memory Cards.
8. Start up the PS2,and load the game.
9. Look for a nice car you want or need.
10. If needed,sell some cars.
11. Buy the car and refresh the oil.Do not upgrade.This will be lost.
12. Save the game.
13. Shut down the PS2 (again........).
14. Switch the Memory Cards again.Make shure that the memory card with the car you want is in the second station.
15. Start up the PS2 and GT4 again.
16. Go to Trade in same place where to find the garage (don`t know the name now :dunce: )
17. Now you see the car you wanted,but for a lower price.
18. 💡 BUY IT!!

Yeah, I'm afraid the money saved would very rarely amount to the $270,000 you could win in the same amount of time in the Capri easy special conditions event. Plus, you'd be racing, instead of waiting for the PS2 to boot up again. But there might be a case where that would be worth it.
 
What I don't understand is "how to people figure out how to do this?" "What's the chances you figure it out?" It's like "What on earth made you think you can swallow swords and balance an oven on your head (It's true)".

Anyway good trick.
 
Nice trick, but you can also DTM spam happily away and be swimming in a sea of cars and money in no time, and without the need to juggle memory cards.
 
i dont think u need to shut off ur ps2 so many times since most people keep a back up of their game they just need to do it liek this

1. start up game with mem card u want to use( most likely a back up file so u dotn waste all the money)
2.buy the cars u want and give them oil changes
3. turn off ps2 and restart with other mem card in slot 1 and the one used for teh above in slot 2
4. go to trade and get the cars u wanted

its as easy as that

also nto exactly a cheat...its just a way u buy the cars for their resale value...not that great but hey if u need to cheat then do it
 
All that trouble just to save 50/5000 cr:ouch: ?

By buying a racing car, eg: Jaguar XJR-9, if the regular price is: 3.500.000cr, it can be bought for less than 2.974.999cr. = good saving's account 👍
This means that, playing the game a second time, will be much le$$ expen$ive!!
But the Formula Gran Turismo, is still 6.374.999cr :crazy:
 
Well,I just thought it was a nice way to save money on expensive cars like some LMP cars.It makes a difference of around 500.000 to 70.000 or something on those cars.That way you will have a fully tuned car with all the tyres (don`t know why you should have all tyres,but ok,I`m not allways that clear) for just under the normal price of the "new" cars.

It`s a nice trick you can do if you really don`t want to race an other race for that 1000.000 Cr extra.
 
I Got some interesting info kinda like this...if u have any cars that are "Priceless" or whatever like a Ford Model T you can buy it for 200,000 👍

I don't know about you, but when i buy a traded car with all the goodies installed, the goodies are not included/transferred in the new purchase!!:indiff: ?
 
what on earth do u need loadsa money for anyway? all the "decent" cars are winnable

and if u do need some cash, just use any half decent car on the capri rally (easy).... 2 races (2 laps each) to get a 265k car (toyota rsc rally raid thing).... plus its fun

I discovered this myself, i think it is useful if you want to buy used cars on a busy day.. when say you have more cars to by than days allow
it is beneficial also, initially i discovered this trying to get fully modded cars cheap.
this also allows you to own a car and trade it off a copy to restore it to stock :)
 
im lazy so yell at me if youve heard this before

is it posiible to take a japnese save or another save and save to another different worldly area game?

like the japanese version to the american version?

and if so anyone wanna win a black f1 car for me?

The disadvantage of trading cars is that they do not appear in the arcade.

how so?
so if i buy a car that i purchased with my other memory card i will be unable to find it in arcade mode

fair enough i suppose

i believe i also read that if you a buy a car even if you sell it its still available in arcade mode - fixes that problem above as mileage has no bearings on arcade mode
 
i found a glitch in the system with this trick....it will get u higher hp levels than the car should have

this is what u do...after u did all the steps stated above....(make sure u did oil change before u trade)...after u trade load up ur gam eand do anothe roil change...it will give u another 30 plus hp and u will have higher hp values...now i'm thinking if u keep trading back and forth u coudl get extremely high hp values...but i have yet to test it out

You guys could just keep beating the El Captain Endurance course and selling the prize car to get around 1,000,000 Cr. in about 30 minutes.........

why do this when you can go to the German Touring Car championship and be done in 10 minutes?
