Cheapest 5.1 digital speakers?

I'm looking to upgrade my speaker system since my current set up of come coby 2.1's blew out, I want to get 5.1 surround system with digital optical input But im not looking to spend to much.

you guys know any good systems for cheap? ive looked around found these but there are some pretty bad reviews on it so Im thinking of passing...

You could get a soundbar or a HTIB at best buy or something.
 
How does a soundbar work? im looking at them but i dont understand the concept...
 
Same as all other speakers. It's a bunch of speakers, number depends on manufacturer.
There's a few refurb systems at best buy for under $100.
 
Cool deal. im looking at home theater systems as well but im having a hard time finding one with a digital optical input...

thanks, that bravia seems like a good system, ive been looking for cheaper though i found this on walmart.com im not sure if the description is saying it has a digital optical input or not does it? if so ill probably order this.

Personally I'd go soundbar. For $200 that's a really cheap home theater in a box. I picked up a sound bar in boxing day sales for $250 from $350 and it sounds fantastic. I have no idea how it works but I highly recommend it over cheap htib things which I've had before.

ill also want to plug my computer into the system would i be able to have my computer hooked up to the soundbar for music and such?
 
What do you guys think of that jvc will that be giving me true surround sound on my ps3 and it has a digital optical input?

Does your computer have optical out?
 
no i was thinking of hooking up my computer using a 3.5mm to rca cable to connected it ia one of the other connections on the home theater system.
