I'm new here, as you can tell, but I've noticed something that I think is pretty stupid. All these people bragging about getting like 12,000 horsepower with cheats and stuff. What the hell is the point? It's like finishing Quake with an invincibility code or something. I totally respect someone who can bring their R34 close to 8 seconds on the quarter mile because they did so in a system of set rules and physical limitations.

In summation, cheaters suck.

Hey Trans-Lance,

Welcome to GTPlanet. Enjoy your stay here.

In regards to "cheating" as you term it. As many of us here have finished GT3 already, and some more than once, hybriding a car is just another aspect of the game which brings it more depth. Most of those who hybrid cars don't do it to beat the game at all, but just to have fun and experiment within the game and making your very own creation. :)

But yes, when people bend the rules to gain an unfair advantage over others, that does suck. A cheater in a online racing event is the lowest common denominator when it comes to a human being. Right Jazza?

EDIT: I'm going to move this to the GT3 Forum.

Hybriding is really neat. Put a Viper engine in a PT Cruiser and you have a V8 Hot Rod PT. Isn't that fun?

Woah, first let me say welcome to GTP!!! :) :) Have a good time here.

Second, u r one lucky dude/dudette, cause to get boombexus to answer first on ur thread doesn't happen often. Feel honored by his presence, him and Neon_Duke are the head honchos on this forum.

hey d00d, welcome to the forum...

remember, cheaters are only cheating themselves :)

So Jazza cheated? Wow, so that must mean I'm faster than him. Wootzor.

I wish I could get hybrids for more fun in GT3...

Sounds like your hangin out in the wrong forums. I havent heared talk like that in over a year.

I'm sure anybody who can mod, can most likely win any race with most any car.

Modding is just something silly and fun to do with GT3 when you start to get bored with it.

I like hybrids, as long as they are truly hybrids. Like engine transplants and such.

12,000 horsepower Minis are just silly though.

Hi azndrifter.

There's a couple of ways to do it, you can use a Gameshark / AR2, or you can use a Sharkport / X-Port and MK's garage editor software. The latter being far easier and quicker than the former.

'Tis MK's for me!

You can find AR2 / Gameshark codes
here

If you're using MK's, you don't need codes. It looks like an Excel spreadsheet. You just right click on the part you want to change, and a menu appears showing all the available alternatives. Just pick the one you want!

I like to use a metalic orange lotus 190, and like with the Cobra, i slung a big US engine into a lightweight UK car. It has around 700 bhp and i pretend its a racing model or something. i just wish we could do the racing decals like in GT1

You're in for a trout slap sonnyboy... "TROUT SLAP" man thats too funny:lol:

How do you make a HYBRID? Im itching to know!!!!

Hybriding is alright in my book, however, it is only because of the way I have come use hybriding.

10,000 hp in any car... never done that. But I have switched parts to get different race cars. Right now I have a stock vertigo with an oreca engine & a S2000Lm with a raybrig nsx engine.

The only problem for racecars like that is the lack of online competition. OLR rarely has a steady, simple and well organized hybrid racing format.

If there was a hybrid racing league weekly... I would run when I could with a creation or two. :trouble: ... lol. Yeah right! I suck with my hybrids.

But for real, don't hate on all "cheaters" the same way. You just might find in time that some of us are the most trust worthy of all racers.
:got_replay?:

Later :D

I dont really view building hybrids as a method of cheating however obtaining a gameshark to get all golds in the license tests and races is cheating.I have a gameshark but it doesnt work which I am kind of glad cos it feels good to beat a race without cheating.Anyways
