Cheating or glitches?

Upon doing some of the story events like the Fastest Rental Cars or Aisha’s taxis, I’ve noticed some leaderboard times which are absolutely impossible.

Some people are able to reach destinations in as low as 0:00.100 (a tenth of a second where 1:25.000 will achieve 3 stars).

All such leaderboards are topped by equally ridiculous times. Is this cheating? Or a glitch? Or perhaps there’s a time stop device we can win somewhere deeper into the game?
 
Definitely cheating, at least in some cases. On some danger signs I've checked the longest distance which in theory is further away than the edge of the map would be. I think this would be PC based players adjusting gravity and the like. I remember RacingMonkey doing stuff in FH3 on his youtube channel, which was hilarious.
 
@sskmercer I noticed the danger signs as well. I’m landing 800ft after countless tries, and people are away into many thousands.
 
I don't know whether the 0.1 second times are a glitch or cheating.

I mostly only compare my performances with friends and club. I don't think there's anyone cheating in the club that I'm in (F4H). There are some speeds a few people in my club have done for the motorway speed trap that are impossible for me to match, but the game's physics varies with hardware, and there's multiple people around the same higher speed, so I think that is just the hardware difference rather than cheating. On a PC, for example, you get different physics above 60fps to what you get at 60fps and below. For this reason, I run at 60fps, even though my hardware can support a higher frame rate. I can't remember the exact speeds, but the exact same tune will hit the same speed for the motorway speed trap at 30, 40 and 60fps, but cannot achieve the same speed at 120fps. The real glitch speeds where you speed up when the rear end scrapes the ground apparently only happen on an Xbox at 30fps, I'm not able to hit the same speeds by running my PC at 30fps.

The silly danger sign distances will be achieved by just using the well known hacks on PC, it's best to just ignore them. If there are cheats in your club you could try to get them kicked out of the club.
 
@breeminator - I’m not in a club, but I do have loads of friends from these forums, and I only really care about those times and distances.
It’s just when I filtered the leaderboards to see global scores that I realised how bad (impossibly good) the top scores really are.
 
It’s not really cheating if the game doesn’t penalize you for not going the suggested route as long as it still lets you beat the level.

I would agree but there’s a level where you have to take several jumps along the route in an Aston Martin (I’m certain that’s what car it was). Some of the leaderboard times were faster than the time it could possibly take to make it to the first jump.

We all have the same car and conditions.
There are 3 jumps to complete.
The first jump is approx 10 seconds away.
Gold time was something like 1 minute 20 sec.
People had times as low as 5 seconds for the entire course.

It’s just not possible.
