Okay, so I got a bit frustrated with the Lotus Elise prof series, and being unwilling to break out of the series early, but frustrated enough to want to do other things in GT3, I made a copy of my save file (at about 93.3% complete) on to my second memory card so that I could have my serious game and my 'fool about' game.
So last night, I had a few domestic duties to perform, so decided to try the Escudo at the Speedway trick - rather than use the rubber band method I just taped it up. Worked a treat, did it twice.
So - and I wonder if this is a tacit sign of approval from the game - both times I won the Polyphony 001!!! A 1 in 16 chance!
So, now I've managed to turn the Elise into something I can actually drive with some confidence, my serious game should be going along okay, but anytime I'm home and have some little tasks to do, I'll fire up 'the evil save game' get the tape out, and put that poor Escudo through its paces against the wall at the Speedway.
