Looks pretty cool! A nice professional looking job. Though Werner would say "selfmade" not "home made".
What's the clutch for? Does it work with other games that use a clutch?

shifter is made from cheepy offbrand controller i hacked to work with shifter and stong return springs to recenter . works awsome

$80.00 for plans from www.racebascecockpit.com

$20.00 for mdfb

$20.00 for paint and primmer

$15.00 for cheepy apc shift knob

$9.00 for cheepy playstation controller that i hacked for shifter

$190.00 for logitec wheel and pedals (i think, can't remember)

It took me 3 weekends to finish, well woth it. I never get board of playing Gran turismo 3 I have tried other race games but none compare to gt3 whats a good rally game for ps2, will it be better than rally in gt3?

Wow, very cool! You should seriously consider making those additions to Racebases and then re-selling them. :)

Indeed! We've told Werner that too -for about a million times- but he apparantly doesn't want to be a millionaire.

But seriously jetguy, you should!

Oh, let me recommend World Rally Championship! I just gone done playing this game all morning, and I must say it is one of the best games I've played since GT3! I highly recommend it. :)

I can make $58.00 per/hr on overtime in the airconditioning so i don't think it would be worthit for me to make thesein my garage
but you can make your own and be proud of your creation. all you need is a jig saw, and some sandpaper, and attention to detail.

is World Rally Championship better than gt3's rally portion?

OMFG, do you have a life? j/k ;)

That thing is awesome... I have to settle for my Dualshock 2 controller and sitting on the carpet. A dent is starting to form where I sit... :D

Thats an awesome set up you have going on! I wish I had something like that. I sit on a chair and move it to in front of the T.V. Thats about as close as I get to what you have. :)

Sorry, but that just DOES NOT look comfortable at all. Isn't your neck cocked forward at a severe angle the whole time (from the highly slanted back)? The seat support seems to be the same non slip rubber i have on my garage floor near my workbench. Sort of fitting I guess, but not exactly Connelly leather either though huh? haha. Honestly though, good work, just the ergonomics seem like they'd wear you out after a half hour.

Connely leather, that's what they used in the Spyker right?

Hello Jetguy

WoW

You have build one of the most beautiful Race Car Simulators, that I'm have ever seen !!!

The finish loocks verry racy .

Nice done.

My Simulator isnt completed , ( I'm to often begin with other thing's )

I'm work to this time, on a own Force Feedback Wheel for the Playstation-2 with industrial electronic components.
The heart is a Analog Angle Sensor (with Ball bearings) . This Pod is normally installed in industrial Servosystems and Robotic .

If I'm have finish the Wheel , than I'm would like to finalize the Simulator. ( I'm hope )

So long
Werner
