I hope this is not old news. I certainly have never seen it before.

Pay attention to the license plate on the Silvia.

1) Bottome left pic shows the car at complete stop.
2) Car at 60km/h
3) Now at 80km/h

This bracket uses the force from the wind to actually retract and hide the license plate from the speed radar cameras. Unfortunately, it wouldn't work where I live, since the "photo radars" around here takes your picture from multiple angles, which includes your rear.

I thought it was pretty funny, but apprarently, Hiroshima Police didn't think so. :D

It is a S14 Silvia, and that's a cool idea. Of dubious legality but still cool, I've heard about plates similar to these being used on the 300kph Supras and Skylines which rage up and down the motorways.

They could use a more advance version and make it motorized ;)

It's a first gen S14, you must be thinking of the second gen S14 rogue (the shark face s14).

I've seen this thing for years! It'd be a pretty kickass little gadget to have though.

I only know of 1 S14, not a Japanese car expert. The sharkface. Thanks, Midnlte. But it does resemble an R33 GT-R.

It's the whaleface S14 Zenki.

Here a6, I don't want it:

Is that for my new avatar? :D Thanks, keef. My old one was lost, and I am looking for replacement right now. I was thinking about creating a thread to have other members help me choose the new one, but I decided to take my sweet time and choose one that was as meaningful as my old one(Yeah, I'm taking this a bit too seriously). Thanks for the offer though. 👍

What was the old one about?

Anyways, on the license plate.

That's the neatest trick I've seen done to a license plate yet! I want one, how much?

I have seen something similar to this before, wouldnt work to well around here because the our cameras catch the rear plate.

Whoa, I gotta get me one of those! :trouble:
Diee cops! Are you sure thats a Silvia? Looks like a r33 gtr or maxima.

It is a Series I S14 Silvia.

The Series I S14 is the Nismo 270R in the game.

The R33 is the Nismo 400R in the game.

The Series II S14 is the base of HKS Genki Hyper Silvia.

Just as an extra info...

That's what you get when you hang around in the drift forums mad tyte mang.

That Daihatsu is the sex :dopey:

ON the topic, I've read a lot about plates that "flip" away.

I remember seeing them in James Bond films years ago.
However, from what I have read these past years, there's only so far you can go to "cover" your plate before crossing the line, and apparently, the USA considers objects such as these as crossing the line.

Oh I see I see...

I still think the sprays work better than motorized license plate hider. Sprays are invisible and don't get noticed.
Sprays don't always work.

For anyone that reads Car and Driver, or has seen the Spray ads featuring a BMW Z4, read the fine print under both pictures.

Wrong. The S14 Zenki is the S14 Zenki in the game.

The R33 is the R33 in the game.

The S14 Kouki is the S14 Kouki in the game.
