Here is a guide from ign.com.  I don't know if you guys have seen this, but it seems pretty in-depth.  But what I really wanted you to see is this guys stats.  Here is what he claims he has as of when he wrote the article.  His name is Michael Chan.  If you think this is bad, read the rest.

Percentage of completion : 100%
Cr. acquired : 1,132,140,000
Total no. of wins : 342 / Total no. of races : 342 = 100%
S R : Gold 48
No. of vehicles owned : 91
Total milage travelled : 9175 km
Total price of vehicles owned : 4,730,456,000
XXXX no. acquired : 101
XXXX no. acquired : 471
Days : 233
Cr. : 1,038,801,250

I mean good god, man.  Over a billion in credits?? No losses??  If this is true, we have a serious driver on our hands.

Here is the address

BigBlocks----  read the walkthrough he wrote.  he either knows what he's talking about, or has spen a lot of time watching the ghost

Is it really possible to complete the game in just over 9000 klicks? The F1 series alone is way over 1000! He may well know what he's talking about but his garage smells of shark to me!

Having just read the article he's written though he doesn't sound like the sort who would shark his garage and then not admit to it. It's a puzzle ... shrugs ... oh well!

Do a little math: that's over three million credits PER VICTORY.
Pushing buttons on a gameshark doesn't impress me as a 'skill'.

It is humanly possible. NOTICE ol' Mikey did not list his license scores. Any of us dedicated GT'ers would be able to make stats like that too... but not for another year. Imagine how good you would be at GT1 right now; If gt2 and GT3 had not been released. {I bought my first copy of GT1 in august of '97} I just I just bought a new memory card TODAY in order to develop a perfect stat card.
P.S. If not for the 'Legend of Silver Arrow,' and 'type R meeting,' I think It would be possible to get 100% complete using only the first car you buy and only prize cars after that first one... The only cars I had to buy to clear amateur leugue were the Mercedes and the Type R.

No, it's not. There is just no way to win that much money in that few races. Period. It's a shark job.

And for what it's worth, it's not a Type R you need to buy, it's an Audi TT.

yes and he's only got 250 days (or something like that). I mean come on!!! To win over a billion dollars in 250 days is just a load of   What was he thinking

thats almost impossible, this guy basically won every single race he entered on the first try. maybe thats not as hard as it sounds, but in only 9,000km. and with that many credits, sounds like gameshark

"In doing these tests, a total concentration
of the mind, a very fast reaction of the brain and a very quick movement
of the fingers are needed. Besides, you have to be very calm too.
These exams are not just meant to test how good or how fast you can
drive, they are meant to test how many mistakes you would make under
pressure. The less mistakes you make the more chances you may win.
"

Yeah, whatever.

'A Fast Reaction' of the Brain  Well Duh :banghead: Obviously....

'Quick Fingers'? Give me a break, does this Guy state the obvious or what? :thumbsdow

hey rufrgt_sn00pie2001, you left out one line from that dude's passage. here it is:

You must master the awesome skill of attaching a gameshark to the back of your PS2, if you wish to succeed like me.

Hey, I have some expert hints to share too:

1. Don't throw your controller at the screen. You will find it much easier to drive if you keep hold of the controller.

2. Do not attempt to drive if under the influence of alcohol, medication or demonic possession. It may cloud your judgement.

3. Do not use your feet to turn the steering wheel, nor your face to press the accelerator.

4. Walls will slow you down if you hit them! To prevent this, enter "1 4M 4 CR4PPY DR1V3R" into your Gameshark to remove all walls from the track.

5. The easiest way to pass licence tests is to give 500Cr to your instructor before the test starts (Press X when the black circle is below the "bribe" option). He will "forget" to start the timer for about 10 seconds, guaranteeing you a gold time!

6. When driving an Aston Martin, press L3 + R3 to activate the machine guns hidden under the headlights.

7. After beating the Trial Mountain Enduro with a Daihatsu Storia, you will win KITT. The Turbo Boost (press Start, right, X, right, X during a race) will be helpful in jumping over walls and other cars to cut down your lap times!

...And I can guarantee that these work, because Gamewinners.com verified them all! :p

yeah BULL****
total concentration when inputting the numbers/digits
be very calm about putting the right codes in or else you'll geta glitch......

If he has a total car value of 4,730,456,000 crds divide by his 101 cars he owns it means the average amount of $ per car is 46,836,198 crds a car... those must be some really nice cars then.

Conceivably, it wouldn't be too hard to get 100% wins - just don't save when you lose.

we arent disputing that part. its the whole credits total, and number of days to complete the game.

I'm just curious, is it specified anywhere that he's using the US or EUR ver of GT3? If not, it would be perfectly concieveable that he has so many cr, since each cr is only 1/100 of a US cr in the Japanese version.
