nurburgring nordschleife rules!
in hour 9 currently, hey, what else is this day good for? currently 3 laps ahead of the m3 gt-r (which i by the way restarted the race over 20 times so it would appear, so i could whoop it
)
i'm a-specing all the way, in a gt500 woodone supra, all stock except tuning. go 6 laps before a tire change on coldest. this is by FAR the best way in my opinion to learn the ring. i'm a pro now. lapping consistently in the 6:50 range with 1 crash every 3-4 laps.
i first did the 4-hour nurburgring nordschleife enduro in a gt300 aspara drink rx-7. imo, the ring is best learnt in a 200-300 hp car, gradually stepping up to a 500hp or so car.
the real life nordschleife record is 6:11 in a porsche 956c (550-650ps depending on boost i believe), stefan bellof. anyone come close in a 787, or other group c car? (no power mods or turbo, or nitrous)
---
anyway, i'm fascinated by the ring. i understand even more why highly developed german cars perform well under changing situations and conditions. heres a great website i've found. all the info you could want:
