That 7.4 liter with the upgrades in the game would be a monster.

How Much hp/tq you guys think it would get in the game if all upgrade were unlocked for it ?
Turbo or supercharged would get more out of it ?

Don't remember this being that heavy (over 4400 pounds?) and always found it funny how The Big Three always managed to extract so little power from such a large motor. Otherwise it's a killer truck. On a straight line, that is.

Numbers would resemble the '70 Chevelle, as its the same CID and similar block. No doubt it would break over 900ft-lbs of torque.

After 1970, the net horsepower rating coupled with restrictive exhaust and engine management for emissions output decimated the ratings on most cars from '74 to early 90s. Very few GM cars were rated over 300 horsepower during that period, mainly being high performance models like the ZR-1 or GNX. If the exhaust was opened up and aggressive cam with ported heads were to be swapped onto this truck, I have no doubt it would be sitting at around 400 horsepower at the flywheel.

Take into account the '84 Corvette rated at 205 horsepower; it's known in the GM community that either porting the stock intake and heads or swapping to a carburated intake would yield, in some cases, almost a 100 net horsepower improvement. Motors are not meant to be choked by smog equipment and the act of doing so reduces output.

Regardless, it looks like a fun truck to drive and would be good to race against the SVT Lightning & Silverado.
